65 cuda, 68 hemi dart, duster, demon etc... Post it. Who has the fastest mopar in the USA.
Include any gen 3, hellcat, charger, challenger or swap. Show your time slip! No altered dragsters or funny cars. We all want to know who owns the most badass mopar. East-West-North-South. Canada and other Countries post em too.

I see people are from Michigan, Wisconsin, California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Texas etc. New York, Va, Pa, Ohio,Tennessee. Carolina's Florida. Who got the fastest mopar in the USA on the street?

no way to ever know..... The fastest one may never race anyone or been at a strip.

Mine became a hell of a lot faster after I sold it. I sold the old 440-6 body in the mid-late 70's with a truck 360 short block and TWO SEVENTY THREE heads and TWO SEVENTY THREE Commando intake, with an adapter and ?? AFB I guess. it was a torque monster until about 4500 RPM and then you might as well turn off the key. It did have headers on the thing. The young kid buyer not much later managed to do something I could not......tear the Dana 60 clutches all to hell. I think he got one tire off in the ice in the winter with the other side up on pavement and just spun it until.....................................

One night he was tellin' his friends, "yeah, we marked off a quarter and it definitely runs 12's" and then went on and on about "daylight one tire."

So I told these guys, "I used to own that car when it had a "six pack" in it, and the only time it ever got the front tires off the ground WAS WHEN IT WAS ON A JACK.

The car sort of melted away at some point, and I never could get his brother to enlighten me. I about decided it had been involved in a hit and run or something. His brother once said "I think it went over a cliff somewhere.

I had the VIN for a long time in the front of the OEM service manual, but one time battery acid "removed" the front 2 or 3 pages and I no longer have that, either.

Hahaha. Now that's a great story.

I do know somebody who has a very impressive car and I'd venture to say it's the fastest "street legal" full sized heaviest wagon in the state and that's @Bighead440. Stock stroke pump gas 440 and weighs 5300 pounds. That's it's nickname. 5300. It's indexed "somewhere" in the 12s in the 1320. Rodney, how fast is that car again?

Fast street car owners will not be posting time slips. Its not in their best interest.

Im not talking about my dart, Im talking about the big boys. 2,000+ HP. I know of a 65 chevelle being built for the "street" right now. It is a full tube frame, carbon body, twin turbo big block. That is what a "fast street car" looks like.
When it gets a little further along i am supposed to do the aluminum tin work. I'm sure I will take as many pictures as the owner will allow.

Yes it has a VIN tag, and a license plate.

Street car is a gray area.

Doesn't matter to me... I only have to try to keep up to the Wife !

One of the locals is pretty fast for a door car. But he sprays. The guy goes through engines because of it though. Ya it's his High School car.

@TomMoparMan who is a member in his Duster. Naturally aspirated big wedge. Originally a 360 car he started racing here decades ago. Original paint and stripes on this car. Lots of original parts Tom left on the car.

There are plenty of very fast cars across the states, & beyond. Most of them will not post time slips because that's advertising they don't wish to divulge. Other than the posted times at the strip, I keep my time slips to myself.

Fastest I ever rode in was a new '68 Coronet with a built 440, it was geared really low, and was barely able to run on the street with the setup. Car was loud, gear driven and stupid fast. It had a psychedelic paint job where the panel were outlined and candy paint with a lot of metallic inside of them. Funny thing is I worked for the county sheriffs dept. as a mechanic in the mid 70's, and one day a sheriff asked me if I had seen the car in the basement of our garage. He took me down there and there was the Coronet. It had been taken in a drug arrest and they were waiting for the case to get over and then the car was going to auction. Had been down there for a while and somebody took a valve cover off and took a few of the roller rockers off. I left there before the car went up for sale or was returned to the guy. Only drove a few block with him, but as a teen that made one hell on an impression.

The fastest Mopar in my state is the one down the street that just fell off the jack. 32 ft/sec/sec.
That's 1G acceleration for you 'plebians.

Fastest in USA ? State??? Town?????? I doubt I even have the fastest car in the yard !!!! :BangHead:

As I am in Tennessee right now there's this guy in Greenville .... ps not street

I've seen a lot of mopars that were wicked fast but, alas, could never outrun a gas station. Them things are QUICK!

What state does Leah Pritchard live in ?
Leah most likely drives the fastest Mopar in the country with Matt Hagen a close second.
