My new neighbors are really beginning to annoy the crap out of me. I can tolerate the screaming little kids and to dog that doesn't stop barking. However, every evening like clock work my neighbor asks "alexa" or what ever it is to play Fleetwood Mac "Dreams". The first couple times it didn't bother me, but for three straight weeks everyday. It's becoming very annoying!

What makes it worse is I can't stand any post Peter Green Fleetwood Mac or Stevie Nicks for that matter.

Done venting.

I think it's called the honeymoon phaze for the new home, it'll wear off & yeah that music is fuckin garbage

Yeah.. we have one of "those" too. Came home one day and they had torn down all the trees right through the creek which flows through the back. Dug holes in the protected marsh, it's a riperian zone. We used to get owls and all kinds of neat wildlife back there. They've since moved on. Jugs of hydraulic oil dumped over, trash bags everywhere. The bear came through and tore all their garbage around, they've just left it. Then there is the kids girlfriend who screams at the kid, every Saturday morning. And the music blaring at 3 AM on a weeknight, when everyone else has to get up for work in the morning. Oh, and the massive fires in the middle of August during the burn ban. No matter how many times you try to deal with it yourself, or call the cops & fire department, they just get worse and worse.
Yeah.. we've got one of "those".

Annoying neighbor fix: I had some illegal dump truck driving clowns move in across the street from me some years back. They bought a jukebox & put it on their front porch, playing Hispanic music at all times of the day & night. Calling local law enforcement would stop the noise for a day or two. I had to get up at 4:00 in the morning to be at work by 6:00. One day, all of the trucks were gone, no one was around but the music played on. I waited until dark & walked into the woods on the north side of my property with my 30.06. I waited until about 9:00 & pumped 3 rounds into the juke box & the noise suddenly stopped. There was an investigation & I was asked about the incident. I claimed no knowledge & the cops were satisfied, but one of the cops rolled by me & gave me a thumbs up as he drove away. About a week later, the truck drivers moved out & the county bull dozed the house. Come to find out, the truck drivers were squatting in an occupied house & the county took exception to 15 years of unpaid property taxes. I don't recommend my actions, but after asking them to turn it off & multiple visits by law enforcement, I took matters into my own hands.

I wonder if your neighbors are complaining on some website about their neighbor at their new house who has this loud hot rod and he fires it up all the time and drives it around and it is driving them nuts...

I'd rather live by a railroad track than an have an Asshole as a neighbour. Hard to take matters into your own hands when you have more to lose than them.

Slip a copy of a CD of some 67-70 Fleetwood Mac in their mailbox with a song request note! My distant neighbors know this tune I’m sure as it gets played loudly often!

I totally get it! The older I get the more random noise bothers me. If I can hear it in my living room when my TV is on it's too flipping loud. I got new neighbors across the street nice couple young kids but I just think they're noise blind. When they leave for the weekend I think they're in the horses or something I know he hunts they leave one of their dogs behind who will bark for 2 hours straight or more sometimes 11:00 at night. I've talked to them in the past and finally put up a nuisance dog ordinance flyer from the county on the mailbox, it has gotten better. But I also have a heavily cammed dual 3-in flowmaster 40s hot rod that I try to sneak out every once in awhile at 6:00 a.m. LOL

Well, this all just reaffirms my rule of thumb; if you can’t piss off your front porch, your neighbors are too dang close!!

I had a neighbor who painted swastikas on the outside of his house, just to piss off the neighborhood. He dragged out the old furniture from inside his house and lit them (sofa and stuffed chair) on fire and then left for the weekend. Twice, his fires filled the neighborhood with so much smoke that the county park rangers and local PD responded without even being called. He was threatened with $1,000 per day fines for living in an RV while he “tried” to rebuild the shack he hoped he would eventually live in. He threatened to assault neighbors and tried to entice neighbors to be on his property (we think so he could shoot them) by cursing them out and walking backwards to get them onto his yard. He would rev the engine on his motorcycle for hours, just keeping it at full throttle until the engine blew. The next day he did the same thing to his car’s engine.

The township did nothing but threaten him with fines (he only got 2 for $1,000 each). Then he put a noose in the tree in his front yard (while swastikas were still painted on his house). He finally put his property up for sale and my neighbor and I bought it. It turned out that he was sold the property from a flipper who arranged the mortgage from the flipper’s senior relatives. The loser never made one payment on it. He never made any property tax payments. The only thing he did to “buy” the property was give the seller an old tractor (that he borrowed from another trusting guy). This guy was a 7 time felon for assault and battery. Why was he still walking around? Why wouldn’t a seller see that his long rap sheet disqualified him from getting a real mortgage. The seller’s relatives were the ones who lost in the end, because the township took the back taxes and fines out of the purchase price. The rest of the purchase price went to the mortgages holders (they lost $20K in the deal). The loser lost nothing in the whole affair.

I actually thought before all this happened that the township would have made sure that shiit like this would never happen here. I was wrong. They were less than limp noodles.

Years ago I had a kid move in next door to me for about 6 months. He had inherited a nice home from his grandparents. He came with a pitbull that always got off his leash and a 6 foot Puerto Rican girlfriend who sun bathed in a bikini. Not kidding, don't know which caused me more headaches. He would be in the yard swearing at the dog everyday. I had a young daughter and he and I had a long talk about the swearing and the dog getting loose. Nothing about sunbathing, although my wife wanted something said. The dog "disappeared" one night and they moved soon after. Damn she was tall.

That story is insane! Sorry you had to go through that man! I don't think I would have made it, but what do you do right. I have worked in situations with a lot of hard cases and they never seen the last that long they reap their chaos and then for whatever reason they're gone.

Both :).. Not kidding it was 6 months of this friggin dog barking, and worrying about him getting loose, and arguing with this kid. Also my wife watching me when I was in the garage as miss PR took some sun. :D damn she was tall

Well I guess it's time to move'
Neighbors never made a fuss when I fired up the car or bike at 10 or 11 pm after working on it after work.
usually had to hit the track the next day or so.
yep I'm old, but I remember when I was young.
There was always rock blaring out of the garage, still is. lol
