Having trouble with my new kit, part #MN3104 I got from Classic Industries.

MN3104 - 1967-74 A-Body; 1966-70 B-Body Front Door Glass Channel Seals

I tried to to slide the glass down the new channel felt with the new clips, and experienced strong difficulties! It was way to tight, and I ended up ripping up the new felt channel. Before I try the other door, and order another kit, has anyone else experienced the same struggle?

FRUSTRATED!!

I installed that kit on my 67,

You have to install it by trimming the plastic/felt and punching holes in just the right places, if you have your oem ones try to duplicate what is there on the new ones.

I did not have any restrictions from the new ones going up and down, I would suspect the alignment of the vent frame and the other door hardware would be more of a problem.

I did find that the plastic / felt was crappy plastic that split if you looked at it wrong.

The cuts you have to make are:

Square - circle - square on each side of the plastic/felt that lines up with the nylon slides. And a small cut out at the top where it goes into the top of the vent window frame when all the way up.

I cut the upper end first to fit the white nylon inserts and once I was happy with the result I tried the length to fit.

Someone on FABO suggested using the loop (felt) side of adhesive backed Velcro instead of the plastic/felt. It has promise.

Either way the nylon inserts are the main fictional part of the kit.

When I did these on my 70 Duster, I learned that there is a specific direction to insert the glass back into the channel. It is wider at one end, to allow for the glass to slide in, and then it gets tighter to create a wedge for the glass to slide into.
So, make sure you are going in the right direction when installing the glass.
You can see what I mean in these threads... It also shows a way to work with a ripped felt channel.

I did mine after frame assembly, installed from the bottom, no lube as I remember but had the frame upside down and slowly slipped it in. I was able to get the Mopar pieces in 2014 and the fit was awesome.

I have had to sand the plastic sliders a bit thinner to match the OEM. Some of them are too fat.
