Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning folks, cruise in was a hit. The Duster got a lot of attention and positive feedback. Lots of cars and it was great to see folks enjoying themselves again. Didn’t get any pics, hopefully I’ll be able to grab a few from a fellow club member. One of our club guys won a trophy. All in all a good time!

Personally I would pull them all out and ban them from participating in future Olympics. Like that will happen!

And I would remove them from competition on the world stage with everyone watching. Strip the medals, etc.

Tike did I tell you how many offers I had on the Tikey truck when it was on the trailer at Carlisle? Highest was 7600 not selling it though to good a truck to have around. If the R/T was 4 wd I would consider it!
On the way out, on Sunday, We got another offer, on the trailer leaving.....

So the v8 emblems were inspired by a 13 year old who has decided to learn to weld. Hes making scrap iron sculptures.
Car show trophys are next on his agenda. Sept his dad is putting on a fund raiser car show for a friend with health issues. That one should be good.

Has the youngster discovered old rocker arms yet? Great for making the heads on strange little scrap iron creatures.

Haha I’d taken the 7600 and ran

Checking steering wheel center, after having everything apart. The right side brake hose was stretched tight. Put car to riding height, still tight on full left turn. Had to replace with a longer hose. The correct one, and the one on the left side, is about 10.5 inch. I sourced a 12 inch hose. Dexter part number 071-A51-00

Scrap run was uneventful, stopped to pick up a steering box for Fargo. If its in any condition like the leaf springs he had, it wil be mint! Cant wait to knock it apart.
$189 for 235/85-16’s. I have to come up with another plan for tires.

I am going to have to file a flat side to fit bracket. I think it should work...

Another hot one here. So im 2 feet away from the air conditioner. Got a couple wheels ready to swap over to the parts truck. Tomorrow morning’s project i guess. Then i will prep the wheels for new tires,235/85-16. Didnt want grippy but in that size there isnt much choice.

Load of scrap was a little light, so will have to do better next time. The heap is getting smaller.

I'm done. another day closer to calling the outside area done, or at least all I'm doing myself.
We do have a landscaper coming in to move some dirt, plant some stuff, and stack some limestone.
They are also going to replace the 25 year old sprinkler/drip line system.
This afternoon, I was painting a garage doorway off the patio. I looked down and saw water drops on the patio. I was by the AC unit, nope no leak. I was under a roof eve, nope no leak. Then I found it. I had sweated some much that when I leaned slightly forward sweat was dripping off the bottom of my shirt.:wtf: Ok time to stop, I'm done for the day...:D I'll have an extra beer tonight and replenish.
