I’m sorry and sad to say, due to a recent stroke and a series of heart attacks I didn’t even know about (the heart attacks)

, I’ll be selling my ‘68 Barracuda Fastback. I would really appreciate some guidance on its value. I’ll try to put a pic up. It’s not a high dollar concourse car. Here’s the basics:

318 with mild build. Supposed to be an RV cam in there, Performer intake, Holley 600 or 650, two and a half inch dual exhaust with H pipe. 904 trans (rebuilt 5k ago, TF2 added). Interior is in nice shape. Body’s in good shape with a mid ‘90s paint job. Not perfect, has one or two minor dings. I’d call it a 5 footer. Has a nice Sony sound system. Everything works with the exception of the gas gauge (which in turn is affecting oil pressure and temp gauges). Runs great, drives great.

Would come with complete front disc brake setup from a ‘67 Formula S I never got around to installing. Includes hubs, spindles, gravel shields etc., new rotors, bearings, seals. Has proportioning valve and master cylinder. Everything already cleaned and painted. Calipers would need rebuilding.

Location is in South central WA state. Will be putting up for sale in next couple of weeks.

Thank you for any input.

At least $15,000-20,000 Sorry to hear about your health. Hope all is getting better for you.

I've been looking for one of those (in that color!)

...but I am in the opposite corner of the country.

Can we see more?

I've seen some prices for "lesser" cars that would put that one to $20k or more in my mind. Sorry you need to sell. I'm looking forward the day we deliver our cars to our sons.

In this day any decent/nice fastback, even a 318 ugh, should bring 20k.

Start at $22,000 OBO. You'd be hard pressed to build a nice car like that for less. I think $20K is close, and it never hurts to start a little bit higher.

Sorry to hear about your health issues. I'm dealing with the same. It's tough to put a price on a car without actually looking it over and driving it. But sell price depends on how quick you need to sell it. If you have time I would start at $25,000.00

Finally was able to get more pics of the car. Hope you all can give me a better idea of what I may be able to sell it for. Thanks.

It looks like a nice driver quality car anyone would be proud to own. I raised my estimate after seeing more photos. I would start at $20 and go from there.

I listed my parents home and my aunts home with a friend and trusted their opinion on what to ask. Sold both in a week! What does that tell you? They were listed to cheap. But you know what? The realtor got his paycheck! Start high and negotiate.

Looks like there is some good success with people listing their cars on Hemmings on line auction. I would check that out. I think the listing fee is like $100.
Sorry to hear about your health issues.

I wish you were closer.

If that car was painted in 90s and still looks good no bubbling peeling I think that raises value of the car. Versus one that was just painted which could be hiding lots of problems such as rust holes filled with bondo etc.

The absolute most fun I have ever had was flying to Ca from Mo and buying and driving back a 383 67 Cuda!
And it was a great car, no problems at all....NO RoadKill stuff!!

I have been watching them on Mecum for awhile. Most seem to sell in the teens & 20s. 30s or 40s for something special. Then there are really special ones that go for $$$$. Don’t know what to ask, but I would think you should get at least high teens out of that car.

If the car is a rust free car I'd raise what I said to 25k starting and go from there. There's a lot of junk out there for 20k and stupid *** people are paying it. A decent fastback cuda will bring a premium. It looks nice in the pics.

Sorry to hear about your heath I hope you get that under control and get better soon. I would start at 25k and let them make offers id sell it for no less than 18k my buddy just sold a nice convertible for 24k
