Age maybe ?? But now I want a certain C-body

My first vehicle in this world was a '71 New Yorker, so I totally understand. Even then, I considered the 300 C-bodies to be the BadA** big brothers lol, especially the Hurst version.
 
Back in about 1972-73, my buddy across the street from me bought a used 1969 Polara 2 door hardtop. Low mileage, medium brown , black vinyl roof and interior, real 440 Magnum(!), auto, super lite in grille, sure-grip, disc brakes.
Man, what a road car! We drove it to the 1973 NHRA Nationals in Indy, 4 guys, camping gear, all that easily fit. It handled and drove like a Super Bee on steroids. I wish he would've run it at least once on the strip.
 
55 300's are pretty sexy!

Get out your wallet for one of those. The '55 C300 was the start of the 300 letter car series and I've only seen a few.

My personal favorite is the '57 300C and '58 300D. Reach even deeper in your wallet for one of these.

There's a gentleman with multiple examples of each year "letter car" (55-65) near here. I've been in his garages and it's pretty spectacular.

I'd like a 300L (1965).

The second photo is gorgeous. What is that?
That is a '70 300 Hurst.

Like some of the Hurst Oldsmobiles, they were standard cars that were pulled off line and given the Hurst treatment. The interiors have Imperial seats and the color is GM in origin. Fiberglass hood and deck lid. Contrary to popular myth, they do not have Hurst shifters (except for the convertible that Linda Vaughn rode in). The convertible was the only one built and doesn't have Imperial seats.

This car still exists! It was at Carlisle a few years ago.

My dad had a 57 Saratoga when I was young. Loved the long fins.
He drove Chryslers from the 30's up to 68 when he bought his first Dodge B body.
My pick would be a 69-72 Newport. Had a 71 2 door about 20 years ago.Nice boat.
 
Those "fastback" C bodies are beautiful cars. And, from the rear, they look pretty mean. I would love to have one of those.



I bought a '67 Monaco because I had to have those taillights.

Here's my Mopar '71 Fury. So much fun to drive, I broke a transmission mount a couple weeks ago. The 360 is pretty quick.

there are some c bodies i would own. another + is their prices are still fairly reasonable.
But the minus is theres even less aftermarket support than A bodies got since a lot of C body guys are really notoriously cheap. If you want one, better get the best example you can find. Parts are scarce, and not cheap.
 
I have to buy a parts car to get the part I want for any one if my C body's.
 
Now I'm thinking a 66 Fury I 2 door post Slant Six three on the tree...

Very true. Not a lot of support for the C-bodies in the "aftermarket". Good advice on buying a nice car to start.
