Are you on Facebook?
Hyper, I am not, sorry to say, I cannot keep up with emails, let along Facebook, Twitter and others, just too much going on! But I saw your COLT, love it!!!!!!!! I will have to upload some photos of my 1976 Colt, it was quite the crazy machine over the years, like you, Dana, 727 etc. I am just loving your slant six concept, that would look uber cool for sure. I had a 440 in my Colt and then a 426 wedge. At work but will try and dig up some old photos, I have been to the Nationals and many other car shows over the years, I have lots of photos of Colts and Arrows, love the short wheelbase/insane HP concept.........

Those cars were really hard to manage in the early Pro Stock era, they were massively over powered with less than a 100" wheel base.

Charlie Malyuke at our local drag strip. He raced a Colt as well.

Toolman, if you look at the first photo, you see my exact dilemma which brought me to the forum in search of parts for my Arrow. Look at where the hood meets the windshield, you can clearly see that the corner windshield trim is not in place and the bottom of the windshield trim is also missing and only the side and top windshield stainless trim pieces are in place and the side trim pieces just terminate in the open, literally hanging open in the wind. This is how most Arrow's were run with glass hoods, that bottom windshield trim is missing and that's is the one part I am truly trying to find and it ain't easy!!! I need someone who has an Arrow parts car that has the full stainless in place. That is exactly what I am looking for, the race cars don't have it because they are often removed and discarded. If you look at your Colt photo, it has the full windshield trim.............

Paul I sent you a private message to your mail box.
It has the contact information for Chaplain Rick.

Got it Hyper, still getting the hang of the private conversations but I will definitely make the trek! Thanks for the intro to this show, I'll pick it up from the conversation going forward. THANKS!

I forgot to mention, Charlie was a pioneer in small cube Hemis for the Pro Stock cars. Modify a 383 block for 426 heads. That was done at Gary Ostrich's shop. Gary did experimental work for Chrysler Corp.

I had a 383 RR back in the day, man that thing could rev, much more tolerant of high revs than the 440 or HEMI. I can see the advantage here, reduce stroke, increase RPM's weld on Hemi heads and make lot sof power to 7200 RPM. NICE! Thanks for those photos Toolmanmike, that is some cool history right there!

So I have been saying I was going to post some photos of my Dodge Colt I owned up to about 2010, I finally scanned some, here we go. First shots at my shop where I built a lot of the car, I was going 440, blown, mechanical Hilborn fuel injection, Dana, T-Flite by Pat Barrett

After years of working with a local machinist, I jumped into the big leagues, had a chassis shop do the front end (it was Mitsu with original struts and 4 lug front wheels, had to upgrade for where I was going, progress and pick-up day photos attached here.

So the 1970 Satellite taillights was my idea, I think they look like they were made for the car but the taillights really show the narrowness of the car, in a Road Runner, you would have P L Y M O U T H between the tail lights, Yikes, barely got the license plate in. Cut 1 inch out of the bumpers and snugged them against the body, got rid of the 5MPH impact gas struts, I had built a square tube dashboard into the car, 1986 Dodge Daytona tilt steering wheel (only way I could get into the car at 6' 4". Full instrumentation, engine compartment stainless panels, narrowed Dana with 4-link, really just a lifetime of work here but the car ultimately was sold, the buyer finished it and did it up nice in all Rod Shop paint scheme, 426 Wedge motor, I have video fo that finished car, will search for that and hope to post. For now, enjoy the history, what a crazy vehicle. I did stretch the wheelbase 4 inches, you will see the stretched steel fender sin a couple shots, ultimately went stretched glass nose on the final design. Crazy days indeed........

Lost touch with the owner, do not know the current whereabouts of this car, still did me good seeing her all done. Thats a white painted car, a local decal guy did everything else you see here in the photos.

TO THE O.P. , THERE WAS A GUY IN BROKEN ARROW ,OKLA. , THAT HAD A 340 ARROW BACK IN THE DAY , HE WON SO MUCH AND SO REGULARLY , HE GOT BORED AND QUIT RACING , SOLD IT .

For those with keen eyesight , you will se red a blue stripes on the doors before the car was done up in Rod Shop colors. If you know your Colts, then you knew immediately that the base car was a Levi's special edition with a Levi's jean roof covering and red white and blue decals as you can see on the doors at least. Interesting choice to convert to a street terror.

I have seen on the website that sometimes members talk about Plymouth Arrows and other Mitsu Dodge and Plymouth imports. I am seeking some exterior body parts for my 1976 Plymouth Arrow and hoping you can help. The list isn't long, I just need to find that member or members that have access to a Plymouth Arrow body that is either broken up for parts or knows a junkyard where one is located. I am very close to the completion of my Arrow and could really use some help locating a Plymouth Arrow or two so its over to the members, if you know anyone who has access to an Arrow or if you know where one is sitting for parts, PLEASE reach out to me and get me connected with the individual. This is very much appreciated, I know the Arrow is not an A-Body but desperation is setting in, these cars are not easy to find so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had an arrow, I got it for $50.00 back in 1995, wish I had that now.......duh !
