Man some of you Mopar guys are a bunch of Nancy’s. Ohhh we aren’t going to have gas, ohhhhh my we don’t have parts, ohhhhhh my this business won’t get back to me, ohhhhhh it costs to much, ohhhhhh we aren’t going to have cars in five years, ohhhhhhhhh I can’t find used parts and when I did I waited five days and someone else bought it out from under me. Damn guys give me a break. Do your research, call a business more than once, use Google and Facebook to find parts, call your Congress man and tell them how you feel about gas prices. Be-itching to us does nothing, but makes you look like a Nancy.

Timely post! Our hobby is a self-fulfilling discipline as is our lives as we live them. As we think we travel and if you think it's bad yes its bad. I find all the issues of the hobby merely problems to be solved. Thinking positively and solving the problems are their own reward.

Tell me about it. I had an LD340 intake for sale recently ($300-350, don't remember) and it sat, and sat, and sat. Nobody here wanted to buy it.
Now, I am seeing want ads for an LD340 and he doesn't want to pay for the ones on ebay right now. Too expensive.
You can't even buy a new Edelbrock intake and inflation is through the roof.
I think it's idiotic for a buyer to demand a price. These fools don't understand the seller sets the price and they need to get on board or miss out. I eventually sold the intake elsewhere. I would have really liked it to go to a FABO'er but they are sooo cheap.
News flash: I don't give a **** that you used to be able to pick up an LD340 for $100 back in '84.

Shhhh. I will tell you a secret.

We all wish we were B-bodies.

BOOM! "Oh no he didnt!" "Oh yeah. I went there. Drove thru. And left an oil spot in your driveway."

A-body!

Cabin fever seems to bring out the Eeyores.

Because they are not REAL car people, they aspire whiners.

As real car people we understand **** will happen, and then you need to overcome it to reach the goal. No time to cry about it, make it happen!

comical when a wanted ad is posted and they are already asking for low prices. Do they even get a response to those? LOL

Try running a Mopar on $3.35 an hour! Talk about doom and gloom... 1985.....Of course headers and cams were $49 back then. Oh, and home loan interest rates were 18% too.

It’s like people buy these old cars thinking they’ll be able to go to “Advanced O’Reilly Zone” and get whatever they need for a few bucks, and then it’ll bolt on and fit like a factory part.
As for the gas, its stupid to think ALL gas cars are going to be gone in 5 years when probably 99% of the population rely on them. Gas prices always change, get over it.

It's just fear of the future. Over 100 years ago? Henry Ford was told "This is just a fad. No way I'm giving up my pony and buggie" And of course the rest is history.

Horses and buggies are still around. They are just no longer primary modes of transportation. That will eventually be true with internal combustion.

You might consider that "some" have a point. There is no doubt that in my area, C/L has been abandoned for Marketpharce, and IT BLOWS. Plus it SUCKS. The search feature is horrid. Also, you live in a VERY dense area of the US, and the volume of parts, even though subject to rust, is several levels what it is out here "in the rural" areas. The biggest town around here for hundreds of miles is Spokane. Moscow/ Lewiston to the south are both "farming" (college) towns and not that large. Montana to the E has nothing for hundreds of miles. Missoula is a VERY long ride from here. I have not been to Kanuhduh for decades, and don't even have a passport, now required.

There is also no doubt that there is "no such thing" as a real parts store anymore. Even NAPA, who at one time was "the standard" has dropped into the "china import" category.

And then there's this: I payed damn good money, last year, for an outfit "with good reviews" to put the front and rear glass in the Scamp. This was nearly like an assembly line new car. The top had been replaced, and the glass openings were squeeky clean and painted. Perfect. Glass had been meticulously cleaned, and of course new gaskets. Fuckin things leaked like a screen door on a submarine. I had that son of a ***** back to them FOUR times and it "ain't over yet." I cannot put any of the interior back into the thing until I get this resolved. As soon as "spring" gets going here I'll have to unwrap the thing and try to decide WTF to do next.

I gave up on Craigslist around 8-9 years ago. Sorry to hear about your leakage but the screen door line made me ltiapm ( laugh till I almost peed myself)

I still view Craigslist. It's decent for local. Once upon a time? There was opportunity to buy from Craigslist and sell on E-bay. But too many rip-off's from those looking to make a killing on just one or two items. The only way for that "Killing?" Is to steal and/or totally mislead. (Which is stealing.)

As far as a business not calling a customer back after MULTIPLE calls inquiring about parts restored that were paid for in full from the onset is very reasonable on the customers part and unprofessional on the business's part and I was expressing my displeasure so others can see how a paying customer is being treated and they can at least consider other options.

I don't give a chit what other people say or worry about. I just keep pluggin forward.....however slowly.
