There was a duster with one on here, it pops up from time to time

They never made them for an A-Body, so you are rolling your own anyway.

I'd link to pictures of the one my brother did on his Duster, but that's a different hood and nose so guessing it isn't what you are talking about.

Pure Vision did a Scamp with the same style hood for SEMA this year. So now there are 2.

Hmm...I wonder if there was cross pollination there and the owner of the Scamp saw Steve's Duster and had a similar hood built? Or maybe he bought the same hood and that is what is on the Scamp. :)

arp's last semi show car was a 71 plymouth valent , bob the vp of marketing . had his body guy fit the hood bulge with the air grabber section into the val's hood with all the works to make it a working unit . it looks better than factory . bob said , it was designed after one of those hotrod concept drawings . car has a 408 sbm , to keep with the era of the car . bob also said this one was a low cost build , lol . well verses that 57 ford 2dr wagon with the 500 inch ford shotgun hemi , i guess it was , lol .

No. Completely different.

@ns1rm21 here was the lead builder on that car.

The metal work bill JUST FOR THE HOOD was $50K in labor hours from Mick's Paint. It's much more than just a grafted on 70 Airgrabber unit. EVERTHING is custom on it. It might not look it without a 70 RR next to it; but that's why it was $50K.

Yeah, I did some visual comparisons and concluded it was different. Leading edge of the hood and location of the pop up are both pretty different.

Steve's used the skin off a Roadrunner hood, so most of it was pretty factory after it was grafted onto the Duster hood.

Guessing it was this one?

If so, it's the same one I was talking about that Pure Vision built and the one that @autoxcuda said has a $50K price tag for the hood. If that is "low budget", hate to see what he spends on a big budget build.

yep thats bob's car now . he bought it by on his way home from a show in sac . he said that he's going to change out those rims n tires for mopar caps n 15'' rims . well have you seen the 57 wagon . the wagon has paint on it that was 3k a gallon , arp is using the profits from their fasteners sales to sponsor these cars and race cars too . and when bob builds a car its top notch build . there is no costs to great for the finished product is worth it , his stuff takes first place trophies home every time . oh ya its still a torsion bar leaf spring car too . bob florine is my wifes brother . hav't hit him up for fasteners yet . the wife (white dress butterfly stockings ) was shooting some of the pics , so i included a pic with her as well , oh ya bob's the one with hair (white shirt) and i'm the hair challenge one in the peach colored shirt

We've got the twin scoops on my son's Dart and do have the '69 Super Bee air box that I need to rebuild (no sense getting in a hurry about it as I've had the scoops and air box since 1981).

I disagree. Now’s the time to light a fire! :D

But only because I want to see it done again.

Gotta get the new garage finished first. Nearing the point of getting the frame inspection done and then on to the roof, stucco, and electrical. Followed by some sheetrock.
