Actually, yes it will. If you cut the column case up close to the firewall and eliminate the column shifter and run a floor shifter. They will fit the 67 and up A bodies nice. Lots of them out there like that.
 
Learned something... Not that I'd put a big block in an A body, to me the great thing about A bodies is how light they are, the steering & handling are better without adding weight... A 340 or a 408 should be plenty IMO...

@abodyjoe will argue all day long about big block A bodies being nose heavy. He had a 440 in a 64 Valiant and loved how it drove. Then the big dummy sold it. lol
