i really liked the yellow when i saw it.. matches my dart too..lol

$4200??? why cant you get rid of it? here you could sell a 883 bike of the same year for that price without a problem, really wish you were closer. how many miles? stock 1200? what kind of pipes are those?

its only been on craigslist for 2 days..

7000 miles. the pipes are samson street sweepers. motor is stock.

Buell owner...also other Harleys through the years... heres some pics...
XB12Scg and 68 XLH 77in. stroker.....

I also own a Buell. '97 M2 Cyclone. Bought it new in July '97.

Also have the remains of a '99 X1 Lightning that I'm building a custom around.

About Buell's, Are they geared differently than the OE Harley's trannys?

My XLC was only given the basics in change. Screamin deal on used V&H) Pipes, jetted up carb, air cleaner (SE) and ignition coil and the watchyamacallit on the right side, down low behind the rivets. That made a big deal difference I'll tell you something!

I'm gonna leave it at that. Though I would like to one day get into a HD engine and try some parts out for fun. I'm leaving the 03 as is.

Nice lookin bike Joe.

i used to own a 98 S1W also, that was a awesome bike! i still love the tube framers, hows yours for reliability? 1 stator 2 batteries in the 3 years i owned the 98.. the 05, knock on wood, other than a clutch cable and primary cover..its been good.... as for the gearing, i think they are geared lower numericaly than the sportster..overall.

why do i have to live in the middle of nowhere??? all the good deals come from half way across the country:spiderma:

With the condition, miles, and 1200, id say youll get rid of that bike very quickly for that price.

this is my newest ...it has run12.70 s at 107 ...without getting into the engine...
the next to the last is an old BSA that i still have..

:snakeman:Had this Valkrie for a couple years .Must say it was the smoothest ride ever. And power, that 6 cyl. would run away from anything.I like my Harley but for comfort and ride... Honda makes the best.

OH DID I JUST OPEN A CAN OF WORMS.......:snakeman:

i hope.. trying to put money together for a garage. if i can sell this it will be a nice start.

question for ya? why buy a 833 and put a 1200 kit on it instead of just buying a 1200? is the 833 1200 kit better then a regular 1200?

68gts340 I'm really diggin that black Dyna. That is a friggin sweet bike. Been wanting one since I first saw one.

I "ride to live, and live to ride" But.........I do not RIDE a Harley.

Harley's are like Chebbies, everyone has one.

I ride a 1976 Kawasaki KZ900.

I like nostalgia Muscle Bikes......wish I could afford a Kawasaki 750 Turbo...

8)three reasons, one is that the stock rev limiter on an 883 is 500 rpm higher than on a stock 1200, i thought the 1200 and 883 had the same cams but 883 must have a different cam that gives it more low end power. The main reason is that the insurance company sees the bike as an 883:snakeman: and will charge me insurance for an 883 not a 1200. Im 18 and they think they need to get a small fortune off me for insurance if have a 1200. Plus when I put a 1200 kit in i want to do some head port work anyway

my first harley was a 883 sporty, a year after i got it i tore the top end off and did the 1200 kit with buell pistons, buell thunder storm heads ported and polished, andrews n8 cams and a se 1200 ignition. put the bike on the dyno and it made 87hp and 80lb tq and still payed 883 ins rate. cams and heads are both different from 883-1200 but cylnders can be bored to 1200.

883+1200 t-storm heads/pistons === fun, fun

the best deal, is factory Buell parts..there priced freakin cheap!

Doesn't Buell have a 1200 engine pumpin out 100 HP out of the box?

Prine, an old Kowie bike like that is fine by me. I'm not a crotch rocket bike fan and most of the riders I meet at work or other turn into morrons just talking about the bike. Riding crazy is out. Spirted I can do. But slow and easy is the way I like gettin it done.

Take care of that old bike.

lol, i want a harley because eveyone around here has a honda crotch rocket.

That-A-boy there thanson. Ride with pride.

Whats the new one's year and engine cc? Looks pretty good in all black. (Something I'm not normally a fan of.)
That BSA looks in half way decent shape. Workin on that one? I haven't seen one of those in a long time.

yes, they do.. but its really about 84-89 at the rear wheel, depending what dyno is used...

i love old KZ 900-1000... i had a 80 750K and a 79 900 LTD (4IN OVER SWING ARM) i also owned a 90 ZX11 for about 12 years..that also was extended 4in... what a comfortable rocket! rode that to about 65000 miles..its still running! it had some work to it(it was drag raced the first 2 years of its life) it put out 148 hp at 10800 rpm and around 105 lbft of tourque at around 8000.... i like all bikes..just like most people if i could have 1 of all of them id be happy!
