Hi all,

I'm in Oz and just registered for this forum, and thought it polite to say hi.

I've been into Mopars for about 20 years. I own two Australian built Valiants, an AP5 ('63) and an AP6 ('65). The AP5 is a stock /6 225, 97k miles old fellas car. The AP6 has been modified with a 318, 5 speed manual and rack and pinion power steering. I've owned the AP6 for about 18 years, and I bought the AP5 3 years ago to use as my wedding car, because the other one was off the road getting all the mods done.

The reason I joined is to learn more about the Gen III 5.7 Hemi, and the possibility of converting the AP6 to run one. I'd like to be the only kid on the block to have a Hemi powered Val.

Here's a pic of the AP5

G'Day Mate...Welcome ! Been here only a month and now spend more time at this site than any other when I'm home. In my short time here I've gotten MORE than a little help/advice.
Serious ? here ! Is it true "you" can tell somebody from North America when they signal for a turn the wipers go on ? ( I can't resist this ) Because we drive on the right side of the road ? There are some truly great people here !

Welcome to FABO, Cool looking Mopars. I look forward to updates with the hemi conversion, you should be able to get a lot of help from the knowledgeable folks on this site.

Hi again and thanks to you all for the warm welcome messages.

My Hemi conversion project may end up being a slow process, but I'm pretty determined. I'll post some questions in the appropriate areas soon.

Regards,

Robert.

Welcome aboard Robert, this is the best Mopar site out there. I am thinking about a 5.7 conversion for my '72 Duster in the future also. Good luck! :)
