I am suprised that this car is bid up this high

Not a bad price for what it is. Hoodpins, grills, and a black engine bay are nothing when you are bidding on a "done" car. Besides it wouldn't take that long to do a scratch and shoot on the engine bay even if you left the motor in.

C'mon guys...stop with the "what's it worth stuff". A car in any condition is going to be purchased for the price the buyer "perceives" it to be worth. I will not reveal what I just sold my 69 Swinger for. I didn't dare post it on here because I didn't want to get an ear-full. The young man that bought it described it as his "dream car". He paid what it was worth to HIM. And now I am about to pay....what folks on this site think....is too much for a low mileage Swinger. Just because we can't afford to pay X-amount for a car doesn't mean someone else won't or can't. Thank you

well I guess I am just cheap then. little stuff like that just bugs me when it's just as easy to do it right

i wouldnt of noticed. i bet a lot of the people seeing it are thinking "a muscle car with the famous 340 and 4 speed. no bady damage or cancer, pretty clean and a fun weekend car" if you look at it like that it is worth it. if you want a show car or a correct car then its not right but even those things could be fixed easy. if i got it it would be a daily driver so i wouldnt care as long as it looked cool and drove good and fun lol:)

And what makes it not right? It may not be orignal but to many, myself included, put zero weight on originality. The next repaint of my car will include a black under hood, much easier to keep looking nice.

If that car is as advertised and it sold at the current price that would be a very good deal.

I personal like to cut my cars too, I guess I just feel little things like that cheapen the car. I don't know if that makes sense but hey that's the beautiful thing about everyone being different

I painted my customized aspen's bay black and did it properly with base and semi gloss clear. It looked great but I ended up redoing it to FJ6 because it's a mopar thing to have it body color and a chebby thing to have it be black. (except for some C bodys)

That's A lot Of Car For That Kind Of Money, It Would Cost A lot More Than That To Do One Up. Still A Very Nice Car.

So true.
Try buying a rot box and then having it complete for what that guy is asking. Even for a "tribute" car, you're getting a solid car with good paint and interior, nice rims and tires.

But then again, SmallBlock can't sell his beautiful black Duster for $10K on here. Now his car is the real deal!

Wylde1.

Bidding is a little suspect also. I smell a shill or two. But it does have a "very rare functional Ram Air Hood". Yeah, rare on a six cyl car, which is probably what that car started out as.

Nice enough car if someone knows what they're getting. I personally would never buy a muscle car from a dealer, too much Barret Jackson syndrome there!!

this car has been for sale on ebay at least 3 times and they cannot get the money out of it that they need.

If cars don't sell on ebay, people are taking them to Florida and putting them up for auction. there will be a real 70 340 FJ5 car in January in Ft Lauderdale auction.. He over paid last year and now wants to sell and cannot get his $25K out of it so he shipped it to FL to auction. These dealers think they get good deals, but don't realize that the cars are just good clones and not the real thing and get stuck with them. We must educate our people to pay fair money for the real cars and not the clones. All the good parts go to they clones and we cannot by them for our restorations at a fair price!

Just my opinion.

I think it's worth $8500.oo for a complete, turn key car.

Like said above, it would cost at least that much or more to build it yourself.

I would definitely paint the indian compartment body color, as it is easier to keep clean than black any day and body color makes the motor stand out much nicer than black does.

I have seen better cars go for less, not worth what it has been shill bid too.

Nice car IMO...Little things needed to make it 'correct'. To be fair currently my '70 Dart has the '70 inner grille and '71 outer grille (will be replaced when repainted next year), but yet nobody outside of the A-body community even notices.

its not worth it in comparison to other a bodies in the market but 8k is not that much money for what you are getting, an 05 focus prolly would cost you 8k and be worth 3k in 3 yrs, this will hold its value and give you wayyyy more satisfaction.

too much Barret Jackson syndrome there!!

I stop reading any time i see a barret jackson reference. People think their ***** gold now because of them. I know BJ cars are worth good money but theres a reason. BJ cars are (usually) rare, well documented cars often with an impersive history. Problem is too many a$$wipes think if its worth $125000 on tv my car thats sitting in a field the past 2 decades must be worth $15000. I used to enjoy watching now i just see them as a obstacle for the hobby. oh and tribute is just the new catch phrase for "its not really what im presenting it as" i digress it is a nice car but not for me @ that $$$
