what color should i paint my hood

Im going with the aar glass 6 pack hood and im debating if i should paint it the curious yellow that the rest of the car is or go with the black out treatment. If you guys have pics of both please post them so i can get some ideas.
 
I like black hoods, just dont go to glossy or you will get a nasty reflection. Yellow car with black out 6 pak hood would look very tough in my opinion...
 
Although I'm a fan of body color, I think if you're going matte or satin black, then paint the fender tops, door tops etc. like the black out treatment when the wedge hood option was ordered..

thanks for the picture. how did you attach the lanyards for hood pins? im going with lift off hood so i still have to figure that out too.
 
i like the body color hood myself. seems like theres a lot of black out hood cars these days. nothin against black hoods but id like the look of the big yellow scoop too ha
 
I would go with the blacked out, but what about doing the hood in a matte or flat yellow?? Same shade as the car, but just a different finish?? Just a thought
 
Im painting mine like the Lime green Hemi duster, Mine is going to be B7 blue and matte black.
 
i voted for black. i think yellow and black are a great combo. when i think of the word musclecar, a mopar with some black on it always pops in my head whether it be a stripe, tailpanel or hood. i just would not do gloss black. go with a satin or matte finish.
 
A friend on mine put the glass 6-pak hood on his 67 Barracuda. Instead of blacking out the entire hood he did the middle, about 4" wider than the scoop on both sides with a 1/2" or so stripe outboard that with the rest B5 blue to match the car. I like the look a lot, sorry I don't have any pictures. If I see him this week I will snap a shot and post it.
