Hemi Swapping a perfectly good 70 Duster

There was a bunch of plastic casting flash and other random things on it. I just sanded them off with a die grinder with a roloc disc and did some final smoothing on those spots with some plastic filler. Valve covers, and intake are painted with Cerakote.

    Tips for the track?

Spring will bind up and you will get wheel hop. Take the rear clamps off and leave them off.

Damn, A new bottle of Rye slipped out of my hands and broke on the tile floor. $50 gone but the good thing, it is still available. I ordered 2. All the collecting I have ever done, I have only broken 2 bottles so far. Damn it smells good here in the kitchen! LOL

    Tips for the track?

Brand new track. Flying H in Odessa MO. Good idea. I will reach out to the track and see what they have to say. I don’t have an overflow, driveshaft loop, or open lugs. Thanks for the tips!

    Tips for the track?

Excuse my ignorance, but is this supposed to help with weight transfer/traction? Can they easily be put back on?

Someone needs to start re-casting 340 blocks

I went down this Mopar rabbit hole when I retired because it was a great memory from my teenage years. I could never afford a 340 car, but always wanted (dreamed) of one. As my build winds down, she's pretty much finished in stock form. I passed on a freshly built and hot rodded 360 in favor...

8 3/4 spitting gear oil out of breather vent

...ride? Had an OMC out drive that was set up too tight, the lake water was steaming off of the case cause the gears were running hot and it was hot to the touch. Took it back to the shop and loosened up the gears and it cooled right down, ran fine the whole time I owned it after that. * * * * *

    Edelbrock, TrickFlow rocker question

I should know this but I have about 15 things rattling around in my head today. The Duster that my son raced last year had TrickFlow heads on it and a brand new set of Harland Sharp rockers on it. They are running a set of Edelbrock heads I ported on the new 408 they are building for this year...

    66 Dart/74 la 318 starter issue

So I recently swapped a 1971 la318 out and a 1974 la318 in to my 1966 Dart. Haven’t changed any wiring, but I’m having a starter issue. When I turn the key, the relay clicks, but nothing else. When that happens, the interior lights dim, the fuel gauge drops back to E. battery is healthy, I...

    Modern day Challenger

You have a very nice car! Guaranteed it would not drive out my life they are closely matched, in fact on paper equals 1/4 mile et’s. The older SRT’s are slower than yours. The 17’ you have would be a close race to mine car. Looks are subjective. The challenger is nice, I’ve driven them, but...

Depends on the ignition system, and what fuel you’re using. You ain’t firing a .060 gap on methanol with points.
