360 header bolts long tube headers and allen key bolt

I have the same issue also. You have to get all the difficult bolts on and then tighten them first. In your case go and get some bolts with a narrow head. I've even gone to the trouble of cutting a spanner at the top open to be able to tighten those bolts.

I would hone the block to clean the cylinders up and help the cross hatch. Don’t go hog wild with the hone just a good clean hone.

    8 3/4 rear end confusion

Hello, hope everyone is doing well. I am currently assembling my 8 3/4 differential sure grip clutch type carrier after I took it apart and had the machine shop clean it to get rid of all the metal shavings. Two things came to mind as I was putting it back together. First off, do those pinion...

    Cragar SS lug nut trouble

I think what you say here has some merit. Because of the bevels involved on the seats and the conical stock lug nuts, they will torque down and stay tight at a lighter torque spec. He still should be careful though, as not to over torque the stud itself. What I would do is look up whatever the...

RH side and nose cut and buffed. NOS fasteners for the freshly chromed jewelry make it go together so nice.

Stop in for a cup of coffee

She is ok so far just exploring, and she is a lot like Harley in ways takes food gently, doesn't bark so far. Not a chow hound, good on a leash. Want her off the leash in a week or so.

    360 vs 383

I would presume this comparison between a 360 and 383 would have similar compression ratios, cam, etc. to base a decent comparison.

    1984 Ram Crank No Start

You're assuming it's the ignition. I have 73' Dart sport 340. I did a bottom end rebuild with a new thumper cam and left the Heads alone, Big mistake! Car started right up and ran to break Cam in the took it for a drive. The next time I tried to start nothing, just cranked. Ignition and fuel...

How many of you grease your own trailer axles?

I'd be worried about failure. Normal styles can tolerate a little misuse as long as you check them at the beginning of the season. If you lose a seal in an oil bath.....You've got nothing. I suspect that we wouldn't get the same quality set up that you'd see on a semi. I'd carry a spare hub...

Should I be feeling more power?

I like this! ^^^^^^^ The duration @.050 is 241*’s. A 3.23 gear is a good bit to low. 3.91’s at a minimum. What size tire is in the back? What ignition do you have? What is the initial timing at? Is it a MoPar performance distributor? What octane are you using? Do you have a tachometer in the...
