    Z Bar

Yeah I did but AFAICT those showed how mine was out of whack and I haven't taken any photos of it since fixing that. I'll see what I can find though. Basically the Z-bar has to be level and parallel to the frame rail. The two pivots should be directly across from each other. I bought a TTI...

If you look at the other offrigs for 1949, the ford is WAY more advanced. Kind of like the 57 Mopars vs the others.

If you are looking at the blp chart( I just did on their site) it says 86 blp jets are the same as This is the conversion chart I am looking at( unless it’s wrong) Says a blp 85 is a holley79, a blp 87 is a Holley 81, so a blp 86 would be a Holley 80. Those are WAY smaller jets than any 850 or...

What kind of fuel do you run?

I run all my cars on 87 octane gas with upto 10% ethanol. It never hurt anything, but my cars don't have high compression ratios. Also, years ago I did an experiment with E85 and ran a 50/50 mix in my obd1 92 Ferd bronco. Ran it like that for a good time, it ran great and the computer was able...

To do that, you'd probably need to hog out the mount hole on the passenger side a bit to sldie it over and up and then use some shims under the driver side mount.

Monroe Swap Meet 2024 - venders or participants?

Any members here going to the Monroe swap meet this weekend or will have vender spots? A buddy and I plan to be there unless something happens. Be nice to have some idea who is there so we can keep an eye out. Vender booth numbers would be great, too.

Thinking of switching from M1 single plane to LD340 but LD340 would need to be milled to fit. Is it worth it?

In all honesty, I'd go straight for the M1. Especially with the plans for steeper gears in the future. When you swap in the GV overdrive, go straight for the 4.56 gears.

Learn something new every day. Called ATM about how this thing was jetted. Turns out there are THREE different jets. BLP, Holley, and ATM The guy when I told him this thing had 101 jets per the sheet, said that would translate to what an 86 Holley is. He sent me a conversion sheet for the jets...

    Who would have ever thought

Back in the early 80's I had a bone stock 1971 340 Demon with 100k miles on it. it's run 8.95 in the 1/8th mile with h-78-14 tires. Around here I could beat any stock muscle car except for this one guy that had a 1970 Torino Gt with a 429 SCJ . He'd pass me at about 1200 feet every time we...

Remembering that I've got eyes like Jack Elam so I have trouble with depth perception, it looks to me like the height is right, and the engine needs to move 1/8 to the passenger side. Now to figure out how to do that. I've got a stack of 1/8" shims but am not sure that's going to move it the...

    360 vs 383

I think there are two scenarios for this topic. One is this is a swap with what can be found as an ok motor that should run and the other is a full build before the swap. In the case of dragging home whatever can be found, I think the stock comparisons from years ago are somewhat helpful...
