    timing tape glue

I never liked those crazy tapes. Mopar gave us the measurements years ago so I would measure over and mark say 34 and 36 total with a white paint stick. Now with already marked ATI dampers I mark 36 and go off of that. I love white paint sticks and mark a lot of stuff with them. Buy a new water...

    Carter 4640SA Date Code Question

If it's a 69 car with a 71 carburetor? If the date code reads like Murray was talkin about. Also the SA suffix like HemiSSDart said. The SA is aftermarket, like the old Carter Competition carburetors.

    Problem with reproduction steel wheels

I never paid attention to the fronts to be honest, to see if the lug nut area deflected while torquing the lug nuts. I never found any lug nuts loose retorquing them after driving the car. That’s why I question the material gauge. Behind the big block there’s a good bit going against them when I...

What is the green light for on the rear of NHRA Pro stock cars?

That's on there so they know they have the data acquisition system turned on. They flip a switch at the back to turn it on. Not turning it on just wastes a run because you have no data to work with for the next run. Tom

    46rh transmission center conversion

Good call, was the vacuum switch. I was able to adjust the switch to a more satisfactory set point. Have a very minimal chatter, definitely not as concerning as before I posted about it. Thank you so much.

My 29 AA leaks all over the garage floor so I keep a pan under it. When it's not leaking it's out of fluid. Old enough to piss when it wants so I don't rub it's nose in it trying to educate it. Love my old truck it runs great and I get a big smile on my face running it down the road at an...

Yeah I am getting some funky resistance measurements as well in circuit. I am trying to measure current draw as well with my current meter as well as isolating the circuits to make sure no active components are messing up the measurements.

    Slant 6 oil pressure woes…

Having just read this entire thread late, box of popcorn in my hand and yelling at the screen, I have to make two observations: 1. Those requesting help from others on the internet will often become annoyed or insulted when those who are trying to help them (for Free) ask them very simple of...

    Problem with reproduction steel wheels

Syleng1. Correct the center bore does fit the hub of the axle, haven’t put a micrometer to it but installing the wheel it is not sloppy as in needing a spacer like a hub centric type of wheel would in a universal application. The lug nut taper fits the wheel. I even went so far as to make sure...
