My low compression engine died in high gear too, laid over at 5000. Higher compression will make any mopar fly. My 383 had 12.5, 426 Max had 12.5, 499 had 15.4, they all were fast! The 383 ran 7.05 with same heads cam intake and carb as 440 that ran 7.6 with better vert and both had 4.88 gears...
I was going to say my 64 Plym with same specks as your engine ran 7.61 in the eighth mile all steel car @36 degrees being the best, 4.88 gears and 9” vert. A LOT of ET is lost if that carb is not responsive.
My brush stays covered and washed before using, saw that on Myth Busters. Toilet should be in its own little room with door though butt all that stuff was just in your body
Nope, before I sit down I LOOK, they can do the same. Went into the hospitals men’s rest room, some guy had pissed all over the seat, to common to raise it up. Then at a big anteak shop some guy had filled the toilet up with ****, and too lazy to flush. High dollar people go in there not bums.
There was no number on box but it looked the same as all a-body, b-body not sure. Never used, plates and parts still in plastic.
$100 plus about $12 for shipping US only
Didn’t know they made dual patterns!
Just remembered a friend had a 70 Super Bee with a factory 383 and 3 speed trans, he put a 4 speed in using same bell housing, I never looked at the bell.
Heck I’m hoping for 11.50s lol. Just got the Cal Tracs on, front end is done. Paint next (originally white) cage is done, engine parts from Bub Whitaker, cam is old but I’ll use it at first. But I’ll take all the inside info I can get.
BTW after looking at HP I’ll stay 70 with AVS. 299 vs 314 is...
Great win John, my 71 Duster E/SA is almost complete, you answered a lot of questions on what it’s like racing out there now. So to be competitive I’ll have to run 10.50 (11.00 when I started this) or better (east coast) btw I had a 70-1/2 Z28 back in the day lol. You know NHRA just loves Chevys...
Well I’m looking to do the opposite in a sense. 1972 industrial 413 with dished pistons (unless I can find flat tops) and the 516 head. The piston edge is very close to top of the deck but not sure what compression I’ll have (steel shim head gasket)
I’ll Bring this back up. I just picked up the Alemite set. Where can I find the instructions that I can download? Going back tomorrow to look for skid plates
093 trans, should have bought the parts manifold if you can find one is $3-6 thousand. Hope you have the engine mount $$, right carb linkage$$, radiator$$, shroud$$, ask me how I know.
Just change the shaft from a later non power one. Keep your column, it’s just a holder. OR cut yours to add a splice in the middle or bottom. You hit a pole at 60-70 that collapsable column is NOT going to save your life since you’ll be dead anyway.
