TTI Header “ break in “ thoughts

It would also be prudent to use a carb known good, off a car that runs really good, as opposed to one you picked up at a swap meet, and/or sat on a shelf for years, "just for this engine build". A lean carb either side, may cause unwanted heat .

    Have you ever lost

Old age is a *****. I'm 74, have arthritis in thumbs, wrists, shoulder, knees. Usual meds, CBD/THC meds helps lots. I'm trying to help/guide my grandson with his 67GT. We have floors and lower 4 quarters to do on it,. And tomorrow a 67 Barracuda is arriving that needs the front upper control arm...

Perhaps find another enthusiast in your area, not nec Mopar. Talk to your parts guy, and put up a "anyone interested in sharing help" note on your local grocer bulletin board, or similar. My parts guy puts folks onto me often, go look at their ride, kick some tires and ***, get er done. Go put...

    Getting fed up...

I can explain, as it was to me, why some wrong boxing happens. All the parts end up on the counter, using whatever fits, then someone puts any part in the most expensive boxes, and returns them for credit. Wrong part to you/us, ripped off price for parts store. Boosted price to the customer...

HAS ANYONE ELSE READ ABOUT THIS?

I had a customer have his "stolen car" taken and returned to the real owner 20 something years later. He worked on it for years, spent tons of $$$ , but never put it in his name till finished, - then lost it when he tried to register it. Sheriff showed up at DMV, and seized it. Always put...

Are we getting more for our money??

When my daughter dragged me outta my recliner, kicking and screaming, to build her hubby a modern, computer operated racecar, I was terrified. Simply now, - took some study, but u-tube is a lifesaver . Used to be you did first valve grind at 60 - 80k, an over the fender re-/ring about 110 -...

No brake fluid to front brakes.

If you didn't put the m/c back together correctly, depending on style, one very thin washer in the wrong place can cause no pressure. Just saying Good luck

You help one neighbour with their car and it snowballs.

I do a lotta neighborhood non-puter stuff, cash no receipts. I still maintain a lotta classics from my business, old, good customers. Biggest mistake my wife and I found, was when anchored in a quiet bay with a buncha other boats, . . don't even whisper the word "mechanic" for any...

    Air Tracker

There are pet trackers that track in different ways. The GPS global trackers usually have a monthly fee, even cheap ones. Some use tiles, some just to 400 ft. I still think a hidden old cell with software, plugged in, then vehicle battery for days, then the cell battery. Should have a week to...

    4 speed transmission id abody?

It's an a-body trans, if it has a flange for the driveshaft it's older with a 3:09 first gear. There is a large and smaller diameter output shaft for slide yoke. After 50 yrs, there's no guarantee which gears are inside, you need to take the side-cover off and ID the gears from pix at this site...

    Disappointed,

...opinion it overheated once the temp went above the constant thermostat temp expected . The fact that modern cars have the fan switch come on at 230* doesn't mean it's good for old cars, that only mean the pressure cap works . Has it overheated ? In my position, rather than have phone calls...

    Disappointed,

I pull my hair out when someone says I run a 180* thermostat, it stays around 200 cept in traffic, but it's all good, that's not "overheating" . Gave up while I still have hair .lol

    Disappointed,

Sorta, - it was driving the vehicle to verify what the customer wants us to attend to, usually driving them to work/etc . Sometimes an annoying rattle in the back, just needed the trunk opened, and the golf clubs shifted. . No charge !

    Disappointed,

Customer comes in with issue, we take customer and vehicle for test drive to verify complaint, give them an idea of issue, - to be followed by phone call. I seldom related the customers suggestions as to what their sister's boyfriend's mother's car once had similar yada yada .. Because it'd sooo...
