How strong is a T-5 transmission?

@halfafish - we could probably put together one pretty decent car between our stuff! I'll be watching this thread as a manual has been in the back of my mind for maybe at some point.

    Slant 6 stroker?

I noticed some discussion here about a stroker crank in a slant. A friend stroked a slant for his 42 Plymouth. He passed away so I can't ask him. Supposedly the crank came out of a slant that was in a altered years back. I hear it runs very impressively. ANy information about a long throw crank...

How strong is a T-5 transmission?

Well that's neighborly of you! When you finish getting your setup sorted out, I would return the favor and drop it in my car with the rest of my drivetrain to see what happens . Too bad we are 2500 miles apart...

Just a better mousetrap. I think the main benefit of it is that it's supposed to be more chemical resistant than rubber hose. Probably the best way to do it.

Good Initial Timing and Too much Total Timing Problem. Seeking guidance to minimize total timing. 1969 Swinger 340 4 Gear

Have a little bit of background how to check timing. Motor was warmed and idle set to 700rpm. I disconnected the ported vacuum advance and plugged carb port to prevent vacuum leak. Set timing light to spark plug wire one and tach wire to coil negative terminal. Initial idle timing is 12deg...

...than putting it in with the k-frame shimmed and then un-shimming it. I took the day off from the car, but likely tomorrow I am going to release *everything* connecting the k-frame/motor/transmission to the body, hang the motor from the cherry picker, and unbolt the k-frame to see if I can...

Door water shields for 71’ Duster

If you or you know someone who has a roll of vapour barrier it’s pretty easy to complete the project in a fraction of the time and cost compared to ordering pre-cur pieces (assuming they are even available).

thanks, just trying to keep up. For the pressure side of the P/S line. I like hydraulic hose, keep an assortment of fittings and after mock-up, get them crimped. Extra points for neatness.

    [WANTED] Window crank handle

Still need one. In looking around for one, I found some with the part number 3882764 that looks as best I can tell, the same as the 765 handle. Does anyone know if there is any physical between the 764 and 765 handles?
