1968 Barracuda Trunk Trim Restored by PartsMonsta

That could be repaired. IF the rest of the work looks okay, it would be cheaper for you to find a competent trim guy and use these pieces rather than start over again. Like you said in the video, I wouldn't give this guy another opportunity, as he won't even take responsibility for his poor...

727 Shudder in Reverse, then rattle on 1-2 shift

Hello again, I'm looking for some advice. I have a 1975 International Scout, which has a 727 as the automatic. I rebuilt the transmission about 10,000 miles ago with a kit from SMR up in Canada. It has worked perfectly since the rebuild. However, on the way home from work last week, I put it in...

    Shift Linkage Interchange from a 65 Slant Six/904 to a 66 273/904

The '65 has cable linkage, the '66 has mechanical linkage. Two completely different transmissions and linkages, not much of anything interchanges that will be of use to you. Best bet for you would be to get a '66 steering column and shift linkage and swap that in, or an aftermarket floor...

    Leaking Holley 1920

Thank you Dan. Nitrophyl was the term I was looking for. Maybe some Permatex blackberry syrup type gasket sealer would help? I was just looking at 1920 images. Some have brass floats. They may be available for the Mopar 1920's.

    Leakdown test on rebuilt engine

Did you do a compression test? A Leakdown test? A blowby test? If you only have 80psi cranking cylinder pressure in one hole; Or, if you have over 4% leakdown, then Notta chance would I install that engine. Just for reference; When I freshened mine with Plasma-Moly rings, on the engine-stand...

    Shift Linkage Interchange from a 65 Slant Six/904 to a 66 273/904

I'm doing the swap from a Slant 6 to a 273. Does anyone know what shift linkage will work on the car? The car is a 65 Valiant column shift car. I have a 66 273 with the V8 904 to install in the car that currently has a Slant Six 904 and associated linkage installed. Thanks

    Leaking Holley 1920

Most likely, the carburetor body and/or bowl is warped, and/or there is a burr or foreign material on the sealing flange area(s). Doubling or tripling up on gaskets might stop the bleeding. More detail might wring out a more helpful answer to this one. Exactly where is the fuel leaking? Bottom...

rear axle back in and welded up... still not happy with it, when i set it up i had -6* down.. when i got done it's -2ish.. which gives me a 4* total angle which isn't great but would work.. I'm gonna pull the drive shaft tomorrow and triple check at the yoke. I don't trust the other places i'm...

    Leakdown test on rebuilt engine

OK so I noticed a slight "hiss" when I was using air psi to hold valves up when installing inner springs. I thought I better check with a home made leakdown tester. #1 TDC compression and 60 psi, I can hear "leak" at oil fill. So that indicates rings, which are new. Now this engine(340) has only...
