    Lifter failure

New FT lifters are a 'crap shoot' as my American friends say. If you are not into crap shooting, get some 30 yr old lifters re-faced. The Crower Cam saver lifters with a groove down the side. I have been doing the same for 30 yrs with a Dremel. No need to pay extra for it, you can do it with...

    Spark Plug Advice Needed

...adjust the carb last. This is how you do it. Disconnect & plug the VA. Engine idling, in gear if auto, starting with the dist giving about 10-12* at idle. Turn the dist slowly to advance timing until you have the highest idle speed. Now check the timing. My guess is it will be in the 20-35*...

    Lost Ignition #2

jumping #1 and 2 together is key on running the MSD off the switch. You could also run the “on” thin red from the MSD to a switch under the dash for a “kill” switch theft deterrent ran from a power source.

    Lost Ignition #2

No in fact you must jumper IGN1 (run) and IGN2 (bypass) together in order to get ignition power to start the thing, because now you have an ignition system not using a ballast. What was the closest point to the key switch you checked? If you don't have it at the bulkhead, and don't...

    PCV Plumbing with Torqstorm supercharger

In theory yes but in practice, nope. They are un reliable, not well engineered, and not designed to operate with any positive pressure on that side of the valve. I’ve tried. And I always end up getting rid of them. And I’m a pcv valve fan, every NA engine should have one, but I have yet to find...

HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO REPLACE MY 67 BARRACUDA DOOR HANDLES

Are you sure you linked the correct story? Most all that was about the doors and hinges. I did find a good video on YouTube though. I'll probably tackle the non-driver door handle first.

    1965 Offenhauser 273!

Thanks for sharing. I was wondering what pcv and breather cap they used. But since the cars arrived at Offenhauser with a 273 hp engine, it already had those items so that make sence. Re the red thermostat housing they just shifted it over to the aluminium intake manifold. So my guess is that...

Looking for a 225 Slant Six 225 Engine

If the PCV valve is stuck closed or not working somehow, then it'a not pulling a vacuum on the crankcase and that can cause your problem. I would certainly check the little things before I went rippin that engine out.
