Changing the rear quarters on my Dart conv. from a 69 to a 70

If I recall correctly, my 70 340 Dart Swinger had the same head rest as the 69' GTS, not the 69' Swinger ones, that are more squared off. If your finish project is to be a 340 convertible, then I would say it would be called a GTS, which also was not a 70' option.

Why are classic 4 door sedans "disliked"?

As mentioned above by many. As an older fart now, two doors were for us young guys, four doors were old people cars. They also were great parts cars as they were cheap in the 80s, and often pampered by their "older" owners.

I would remove the dist cap or dist even if you have to and try leaning it back a bit.. could also just loosen the k-frame bolts to give it a little more tip to clear.. only takes a little in the front to drop that back a lot

That did take a fairly large cam and some compression to get there. That combo with a ported head and a little less (hydraulic roller) cam would be a great street deal imo.

understanding a low oil pressure 360

The one that is INSIDE the block back by the dist you can see by removing the dist. and looking down in. We had one member that claimed he installed a missing one through the dist. hole. https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/340-oil-galley-plugs.377270/

Agree. I installed everything as a unit from under car. Lifted and rolled unit in. Slick. Now I might have to reverse that process. Different kind of work.....Have to roll car out of garage because there is not enough clearance to lift car high enough in garage...

My uncle is in the market for a set of heads and possibly rockers for his 340 build. Thought we would see what is available used before we looked at new ones. Just seeing what may be out there. Thanks.

understanding a low oil pressure 360

As far as I know the "big mistakes" for oil plugs are the two up front where the lifter galleys terminate, the screw in one INSIDE the block back by the dist, and then the little tiny one up in above the oil pump. I too do not remember the dimension anymore. See if I can find it...

    Duster temp gauge problems

Yes that’s how I checked I had good ground and I know the sensor resistance is good as well. There is no way I could have three bad sensors including an OEM that were all new out of the box. No sure on the bent needle I guess. I wonder if there is a way I can mimic those resistances going back...

The engine is already tilted down some, a few degrees, to get it to fit. Getting that GV to fit in this car was a big project...IMO

    Duster temp gauge problems

Start by checking the sensor resistance. Here are the standard test resistors for checking gauges: IE the sensor should kinda match these at cold and operating. You can tell if the sender is grounding by checking between the brass shell and the intake. Do NOT overtighten these...

    Duster temp gauge problems

Well when I took out the sender coolant came out like crazy so not sure on air bubble. As far as voltage on that wire I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to have small fluctuating voltage coming through the voltage limiter on the dash, that’s how it works with the gauge and the ground. At least that’s...
