    1973 Dart Sport newbie

Hello out there! Rob here from Delaware. Just picked this beauty up last night. It's a 73 Dart Sport 340. Looking to learn as much as I can about it. The one thing I will need a lot of help with is the factory sunroof. It's inop and missing the weatherstrip etc.

LA 318 Cam / lifter gut check

Interesting - always had a flat tappet since I bought it. I assume the bolt points in the center of the valley are for the spider you are mentioning?

    Voltage Regulator adjustment

Exactly what seems to be wrong? V too high, too low, ?? what? Yes but be sure you NEED to Most voltage problems are not the regulator. They are voltage drop problems, AKA drop in the ignition circuit feeding the VR as well as the gronding Best thing you could do is scare up a solid...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

As I have done countless times. But with GV on it it really won't stay on the floor jack. I don't want to drop anything at this stage. Trans jack is the ticket IMO. That overdrive unit is over 2 grand. Don't need to drop it

    Head gasket woes

I'll post up more pics. Conversation with ARP tech this morning, then the supervisor called me back. Supervisor stated: "if you have a fire ring that thick, .053, bring it up to torque, then back them off, 1/16 and bring torque back up. The fire ring needs to get crushed as much as possible...

Can still do it with that though.. get the trans under the car, use a ratchet strap to lift the trans enough to get the jack under it, no need to get the car higher that way :)

LA 318 Cam / lifter gut check

I didn't wipe them off before I took this picture and I probably should have. . All the little highlights that you're seeing are not scratches, but more so just dusts. When I put them in the box it pulled some of the cardboard dust onto the face of the lifters and it's a real pain in the butt to...

No! I made sure to change it immediately. The image might be hard to tell but these look more oil slicked than rusted. I'll see if I can get a closer image and post it here
