Stop in for a cup of coffee

Got drivers side sorted out as goid as its going to get. Went and revisited passenger dooor jamb. A little cutting and welding to get it marginally better. Seat bases tacked in. Progress.

How important is 1psi of fuel pressure?

Nope- just 8# every check. Idle, cold hot. Warm start, under load (umbilical hose up to windshield. Cruise- hard brake. #8psi rock steady. Also- Carter competive fuel pump and 3/8” lines front to back. Even fuel filter is 3/8 barrel.

    Drip Rail Sealant?

Clean out the drip rail flange down to clean bare metal. Brush in a good quality primer surfacer, and work it into the gaps where it has been spot welded together. This helps prevent future rust in itself. Let the primer surfacer dry 4 hours, then apply the autobody seam sealer. Smoothing it...

It seems that you answered your own question. Period correct look wins it.

    Door handles 71 - 76 supplier?

A casual look in a big thick aftermarket supplier catalog shows outer door handles up to 70. Where are the 71-76 ones? I suppose the mechanism changed or something? Anyone know availability for say a set of 72 outer door handles?

    Drip Rail Sealant?

Auto store's paintable seam sealer is what the factory used. IMHO

How important is 1psi of fuel pressure?

Because I am trying to keep my engine bay as period correct as possible. Adding a regulator that does not look correct for a late 60’s street vibe does not fit how I want my car to look. Obviously Mike if it was 10psi… I would most definitely need to add one. I’m trying to get a general...

Shocks: looking for Blistein quality at KYB price.

This is all great information. Preliminary report on Bilstein RCD shocks on my bone-stock, low-mileage '64 Dart sedan with A/S radials: Exactly what I expected. Smoother ride with better control. Before, it felt like you were driving 10-20mph faster than you actually were, now it feels...

Would hate to tear Trans apart if it is just a failed converter. I have a magnet in the pan. That will tell a lot I think...fluid still bright red. Does not smell burned..

Last bad hail here was about 4 years ago and same thing, new roof and gutters and it totaled out my motor home. Golf ball size hail. Hope that's the last one. :BangHead:
