Interesting. Does anyone know if the Magnum bracketery, especially the AC bracket, will work with the Air Gap maniffold? And as far as the eBay chinesium air gap manifolds, there are many out there. Any of them better than the others? Also, are they all drill for both LA and Magnum heads...

Personally, even though they don't flow quite as well as the 340 manifolds, I think 318 manifolds' ports match the Magnum port size better and are more likely to seal well. But then again, nothing matches a Magnum port as well as a Magnum manifold. And you know they'll seal.

And a Magnum PS manifold fits, too. That would mean only having to deal with the DS if you wanted to stick to more performance oriented cast manifolds.

I have a 318 in my 64 dart. Manual Steering and it now has a 3 speed floor shift. I just used magnum manifolds from a late model Dakota. I don't believe I had to do any modifications at all? But it's been about 10 years since I did the swap.

That is simply not true. There are many examples of people putting large outlet (2-1/8") magnum manifolds in early A's as all as earlier 340 manifolds both of which are much better than the 273's. The 273 manifolds will choke the hell out of a magnum. Sometimes some creativity is required...

Terringer are those 340 manifolds? JD I do have the big outlet magnum manifolds but the outlet flange is too close to the steering shaft. If I shifted the engine sideways a bit to the pass side would that mess up my ujoint angles?

Looks like you covered it. Really comes down to how much material there is below the exhaust ports. If it is just enough then adapter plates will be needed. If there is an excess, should probably work. That said, I have yet to see any aftermarket heads that have enough material, including...

Here is the add. 46 year old mopar, 2 door B-body with the HP BB manifolds. Comes with BB mounts and 727 mount which I just bought to install the 440 which I just pulled. Duals out the back. Jacked it up and the tires go the same way, so sure grip as I doubt anyone welded the spiders...
