Stop in for a cup of coffee

The simple beauty of coming from a dirt poor, migrating with work, uneducated family. I got an old Indian picture when my grandfather passed away that was destined for the burn pile. and I got my eye on an old coffee cup when my Father passes. Neither has a pot to pee in, or a window to throw it...

    Advice on potential gear swap

Definitely think 2.94 is gonna work best for my application now. Again, just want to make sure this swap is going to be as simple as just changing out ring/pinion, new gasket/fluid, etc without having to modify anything else (new TC with different stall, modifying shift linkage, etc).

    12:05 Garage- ’70 Duster build

Not a ton of progress due to other obligations, and I needed to rewire my boat trailer lights. Whoever designed those pinch type connectors needs to have his whole house wired with them. What a crap design, especially on a trailer that goes into water!!!! Anyway, I got the car pushed outside to...

    Advice on potential gear swap

2.94 gears are my favorite gear sets with the 741 case > for cruising and at today's highway speeds. Stock '69 318 with added Edelbrock 1406 4 barrel, 727 trans and the 2.94 gears. Pass anything you want, the light weight Torq Thrust II aluminum wheels helped performance a lot. Less rotating...

318 with Edelbrok perfomer intake and 600 cfm 4 barrel, what headers please?

Everything makes a difference, good bad or otherwise, no matter how minor. Is the change worth $800?? Not in my book, but I've lots to learn. OP, go ahead and do it, please post your results.

    Your first mopar...?

My first Mopar was a 1974 Challenger, The car was extremely rough, I traded a four-wheeler for it, it sat in the yard for a year or two before I realized (at the time) it was too far gone, I was 14 years old at the time. If I could go back in time I would tell myself to keep it because now...

Hemi Swapping a perfectly good 70 Duster

It's a Deutsch connector, 47 pins. You can use the connector assembler on Wirecare.com to figure out what you need. Sometimes you can find the parts on ebay with better pricing if you search by part number. Wire care is easy because it takes the guesswork out of it. I have these all over my car...

    Advice on potential gear swap

If you only drive casual street and are concerned about gas mileage, then the ratio's you've selected are good. If you are unconcerned about stoplight acceleration, then those ratio's are good. I was there when these cars were new and gear sets were poor. We did many rebuilds. So I would not be...

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

If anything, 50 years ago or so I would expect someone would have been removing the booster, not adding it. The OP's Dad doesn't strike me as someone that did more than drive it, so it would have had to have been prior to that. At the same time, no idea why it wouldn't have been on the fender...

Are Speedmaster Heads Good? I've Heard a Lot of Bad Press on Edelbrock 340 Heads Lately

If I may ask, from where to where? (Picking up 3 tenths with an 11 second car, and 3 tenths with a 15 second car are different things.)
