    Brake boil over

Just to clarify, my DrDiff master has been on a couple years now. Noticed very small seepage from the forward cap after driving Friday. Just picked up the 42044 and 42081. Surprisingly to me, stronger material caps, thicker gaskets, snugger fit. I’m sold.

    Brake boil over

Wondering… It appears that Mopar discontinued the black caps in favor of the yellow ones. Are the yellow ones made of a stronger plastic, less prone to flex?

    Brake boil over

Replacing the gaskets makes sense. But the caps look identical to the ones that are already on the master. Wondering why the need to replace the caps too?

    smelled burning, saw smoke

Circa 1973/1974 I'd picked up a double black '59 Edsel Corsari for a couple hundred as a joke to drive around. Actually wasn't a bad car. 332, manual everything. Drove it up to Union Grove WI with a couple buddies for a big NHRA event to see Big Daddy run of course. Parking was in the field on...

    Console Automatic Shifter Thread Size

10-24 is the thread size for the black button on the end of the automatic shifter cable. It's much smaller in diameter than 1/4. More like 3/16.

    1968 BARRACUDA

I don’t think Jacobs wires are around anymore however others sell them with ceramic boots (accel?) Mine uses the factory valve cover loom locations opened up a bit. The wire length and boot angle is important.

You may already know this; on the pass seat there is about a 5" guide strip that the release wire cable rides in. On the driver seat the cable just rides in the eye hook.

    Rear Seat Cushion Removal

Sometimes if the bar that goes into the retainers is bent a little, you can't push it back far enough to release. You may have to push and lift while sliding your hand under to push out the bar part of the seat frame that is stuck. If someone else can push and lift the seat a bit it will of...

Is the 383 a better engine, or does the 440 just have more displacement?

When I was about 18 in 1972, my friend’s older sister married this guy named Marty. He was super cool. Bought a triple black stripe delete ’70 LS6 Chevelle new. Sold it when they got married. He was an ace mechanic, first at the ENCO down the block where we lived and then bought a...

Gentlemen: How do you look when you're hot?

Side story: When I was a tech at a FORD dealership in the mid eighties, all the new T-birds had a problem with the factory temp gauge reading too high. FORD had no recommended fix. The shop Foreman came up with one. We wired in a tiny inline 'hidden' resistor (I forget what rating) that...
