Can anyone verify that they are, in fact, the same?

    340 exhaust manifold

This is a photo of the motor & 340 manifold that JOTDB73 is referring to. The part is a Year One component and doesn't have a casting number. It looks pretty much identical to casting # 3614368, but any subtle differences could be problematic.

    Diamond in the rough perhaps?

Yes, it's likely a scam, but I am calling tomorrow anyway. I am not TOO far away, and it's worth a phone call. Why not? I've also got a few $ to spend.

    72 scamp $1500

Was this an A/C car? Is the photo of the rot near the vinyl roof corner a current shot, or has this been repaired as well? I feel kind of guilty asking that, given the price, but it couldn't hurt to know.

    Favorite WWII Plane?

It has to be the venerable B-17. I absolutely LOVE a machine that can take extremely heavy punishment and abuse, and still get you home. Have you ever seen footage of these stout bombers landing with huge chunks missing and perforated with bullet holes? I'll bet the crews all fell in love...

    '73 dart for sale

Just to let you know....I'm still awaiting other estimates....one in particular. My car does not run, so I have to get people to come out to my garage to see it. I did not forget about you. I'm still weighing my options.

    7 1/4?

I have the same issue, only it is my plan to get an 8 1/4 out of an M or F-body Mopar and replacing the leaf spring perches (the existing perches need to be cut off and welded up in another location on the housing). I have noticed that frequently, just because a prospective rear is for an...

    '73 dart for sale

I was supposed to get an estimate this weekend, but the guy did no show up. I am still shopping around. Hopefully, I'll know before too long what my options are. You are, as they say, "on the list", and so when I know something definitive I'll try to make something happen. The fact that it...

    Super six info needed.....

Make certain that there are NO vacuum leaks. If all is well, the timing must be set before anything else is messed with. Follow the appropriate procedures (motor warm, vac. advance disconnected & plugged, proper RPM, vehicle in neutral if I'm not mistaken). Use a tachometer to monitor RPM...

    1920 Holley carb question

Go to REALLY GOOD carburetor shop if there are no other options, and make sure they use a high quality rebuild kit. I have used this formula and got nothing but great results over the many years I've been at this (I know of a kick-*** shop in NJ who provides shipping, if any of you need to...

    carb problems?

I totally agree. A competent machine shop should be able to install some brass bushings if the holes for the throttle shaft are out-of-round or otherwise worn. I've had this done on quite a few carburetors over the years.

    carb problems?

I do not know how much smog control crap is on the '74 /6, but I know the newer ones (80's) had all sorts of **** all over them. One line was connected to the charcoal canister, and when the filter inside the canister would begin to fall apart, the carburetor would suck bits of it in. This...

slant six 3sp. to 4 sp. conversion

It is really pretty straightforward, and not too expensive, either. I used to have an A833 in a 1982 B150 van, and that thing hauled ALL SORTS of weighty items and never complained. It was also a MONSTER in the snow....the gearing was pretty good. It's worth the effort, I think. I'm...

In search of '73 (or thereabouts) Dart.

The body on my '73 will cost so much to repair, it may not be worth it. By trade I am a mechanic and know NOTHING of the art of body work. I figure I may have better luck looking for another body, so I guess I'm in the market. I am looking for something that has a very good interior (COMPLETE...

    72 Dart Swinger

That is a STEAL. I am currently looking to replace my '73 which was originally being built as a drag car by the previous owner (REAL crappy body work), and I'm looking for suitable candidates. Do you still have it?

    '73 dart for sale

I have a '73 and the body is a mess. I want to make sure that the body on this one is REALLY solid before I can consider it. Do you still have it, and if so, how is the metal? Is this an A/C car?
