Replaced fuel pump, still not running…

Thanks for everyone’s help… after fuel pump, fuel filter, ballast resistor and lots of carb cleaner, I finally checked the plugs. They were filllllthy black, so I got a new set threw them in, poured a large dose of fuel in the carb and it finally kicked over and kept running. I don’t know if it...

Replaced fuel pump, still not running…

It was dying so fast it was hard to tell if it was dying as soon as I let go of the key, it was a really old ballast resistor and cheap to replace so I went for it, but no luck.

Replaced fuel pump, still not running…

Hey FABO, so a few days ago I was gonna take my 318 68 cuda for a spin but it decided it wasn’t gonna start. Tank is about half full… I’ll pour a bit of fuel in the carb, it starts for a second then dies when that fuel burns up. I had a similar problem over a year ago… ended up being fuel pump...

Advice: Solid Roller or Hydraulic Roller for street car

You guys are amazing… thanks for all the valuable feedback. As a total novice when it comes to this stuff, i just don’t want to buy a hydraulic roller set up then wished I’d went solid… or vice versa. Advice: Solid Roller or Hydraulic Roller for street car

Looking at trickflow heads for my very mild 318. My car is a street driven 68 barracuda, weekend car, gets probably 3k-4K miles a year if that… i definitely want some HP gain with this project, but not sure what the best route is. If I go hydraulic roller it’ll probably be less maintenance, but...

HELP: Cylinder Head and Cam Suggestions for 318

Thank you for taking the time to write suggestions. I had a hard time tracking down an LD4B when I was searching a year or so ago however after all my research, many people said the Weiand Stealth is nearly identical to the LD4B so that’s what I ended up with… I’m sure they are within a couple...

I do not have the heads yet.. a friend of a friend has a set that has never been used... I’ll have to find out if my 318 used flat tappet lifters or hydraulic roller... i’m trying to do this in my garage on my own with the engine still in the car... is this going to be a worthy upgrade...

Installing Headers on a 2nd Gen. Barracuda

Haha wow, thanks for that post. Looks like one heck of a build... Hopefully I can get them in without completely pulling the motor! :) I heard the 90’s mini starter for the 318 is smaller than for the 360... Is that true? Are they rated the same as far as starting power?

Installing Headers on a 2nd Gen. Barracuda

Hey guys, I’ve researched the threads but having a hard time finding a solid answer... I’m installing Dougs (D453) Headers on my mostly stock 318 (68 Barracuda). Seems most people install a mini starter but some have not depending on the header... Anyone know if I need to for sure? If so...

Install a Tremec T56 Magnum in your A-body

Thanks for the honest reply Todd. Still trying to figure out all my options, but one thing I'm thinking is maybe I could try your upper crossmember piece and see if it works with my T5... Install a Tremec T56 Magnum in your A-body

Hey Todd, I am doing a T5 install... using a kit from SST. Their kit provides a lower crossmember that bolts into the stock holes, but their kit provides no upper crossmember and it has to be cut in order to get the T5 high enough... I was curious if your upper crossmember would work with...
