Checklist for body and paint shop

Thanks to all for some excellent suggestions. I have located one shop that that specializes in older cars, hot rods and such. I will try to find a couple more. I will reach out to the local mopar club as well. I hate chemical paint stripper but I might go that route as well (I have more time...

Checklist for body and paint shop

Okay. I've resigned myself to take my 72 Dart in to have the paint and body work done. I have completely stripped the car of all trim and removed front and rear glass. Interior is out except for dash frame and steering column. I am not looking for show quality by any means. I am thinking an...

Hell, that pipe is a Picasso compared to some of the Frankenpipes I've cobbled together :)

67' Fastback Rear Glass Channel Rust Repair

Going through something similar on the A pillars on my 72 Dart. Making patches and spot welding them in. Slow process making patches because I don't have a shrinker/stretcher. Its with hammer and dolly. Coming along okay for my first attempt at this type of repair.

Big Block assembly manual/book or reference.

You might rake a look at Big Block Mopar Engines by Don Taylor. Its geared toward a step by step factory stock rebuild but you can supplement this book with Andy F's book.

Tell us more about what your intentions are for the car. Street? Strip? Both? IMO the Schumacher mounts and headers make the swap pretty easy but may not be right for your objectives. I have a 400/451 with power steering and power brakes. I used the Schumacher pieces and they work well for me...

Big Block Water Pump Housing....440Source vs Mancini

I had the exact same experience on my 451. The 440source housing was marginal at best. The Mancini housing made a big difference in reducing the temps. No other changes made to the rest of the cooling system.

B Block Conversion and Power Brakes

I have power brakes. I have to unbolt the booster and tie it off to the side to access the valve cover or pull engine. Removing the booster with the master cylinder attached takes about ten minutes. Its a 72 dart swinger. Car came equipped with power brakes, front discs. Its now 400/451...

Anyone using Year One wiring harnesses?

Looks really clean! I like it.

Anyone using Year One wiring harnesses?

Good to know. My light harness is bad and my engine harness isn't much better. The dash harness is not too bad but the seat belt circuit ( I think?) has been cut out and the map/glove box lights appear to have been cut.

Anyone using Year One wiring harnesses?

I've done the engine, driveline, some of the interior. I even mini-rubbed it and moved the springs onboard myself. I guess I could tackle this as well and reap the benefits that JPAR rightly points out. Drawbacks for me are electrical competency and the time involved to do the job right(the...

Thanks. I will talk to Evans before I take the plunge.

Anyone using Year One wiring harnesses?

Thanks. I don't mind paying for it if the quality is there. An electrical fire would no doubt be just as costly. BTW do you still produce the headlight relay kits? I'd be interested if you do. Thanks again.

Anyone using Year One wiring harnesses?

I am thinking about replacing all the wiring in my 72 dart. What I have is functional but hacked pretty bad and well worn. I am not very good at wiring/electrical so the closer to direct replacement the better. Anyone have experience with the Year One wiring products? How satisfied were you? Any...

    What is this connector/circuit?

Eureka! I think this solves the mystery. I really appreciate your help with this problem. I had been searching for a mating connector with no luck.

    What is this connector/circuit?

I need help identifying this connector/ circuit on my 1972 Dart Swinger. It is a three position female plug with 2 yellow wires. One yellow with black trace and two pink wires. I am thinking it is the connector shown in the wiring diagram. I haven't located the mating connector under the dash...
