Installing moroso solid mounts on 72 dart V8 k-frame using 360 with Schumacher brackets and the slots on the k-frame need to be elongated. I need to remove about 1/4 inch from both sides in order for the engine to sit properly. Anyone ever have to elongate their k-frame?

Rebuilt 904 with A&A transbrake, billet low reverse servo, 4.2 lever, 5 thin frictions in front drum. 1/4-1/2 throttle 1-2 shift is flawless, 2-3 feels like I hit the brakes when going into 3rd. full throttle all shifts feel fine. Any ideas for a remedy?
