    In a pickle here. I had some K1 rods and my machinist says the bearing tab slots are so far off he can't use or fix them. So I'm needing some new rods A.S.A.P. Would prefer Molnar, but would also consider K1.

    Sorry, I think I missed something along the way. Weren't you going forged? I wouldn't go through all the work of a fresh engine just to go right back to cast pistons, even on a 5psi build. Or did they fall under the few parts you'll be swapping in either way?

    Oh no, it's possible. But I wouldn't set your goals by pressure. Instead, go for power or timeslips. If you build it right/efficient you won't need even 20psi. The fastest slant in the world only runs on 15psi (i believe). The most powerful slant in the world makes north of 600 horse with 17psi...

    Rusty, I believe it adapted small block transmissions instead of B/RB. That was a truck/van only item in the 60s, the slant specific 727 came in later trucks, taxis, police cars etc.
