So I'm reupholstering my seats. I found my broadcast sheet under the backseat. I just pulled out the front seats and discovered another broadcast sheet. I'm wondering if I should leave the front one in place or remove it to preserve also?

    What got you into Mopar?

^^^^^^^ That's freakin hilarious! Thanks for the laugh. I was first a fan in '77 when my dad pulled into the driveway with a '71 Challenger..didn't really know what it was back then (I was 6), but it was the coolest car I'd ever seen. I've wanted one ever since. Besides that....MOPAR folks...

    90* Adapter Gaskets?

I just went through this last weekend while installing a set of doug's headers. Checked ALL of the common parts stores...nobody has it in stock. Luckily the cork gasket was stll good. Just used form a gasket...worked perfect. Good luck

    rearend not centered

I know this is an old thread, but I hope someone see's this!! I have the same problem, except on the driver's side I have about 1/8" - 1/4" in. to the inner fender and on the passenger side I have 1/2" - 3/4". I've replaced the springs, shocks, and the shackle bushings. It seems to be fine when...

    Doug's Installation

Not trying to hi-jack but I'm literally under my 71 swinger auto right now finishing up install of Doug's headers. Everything went as instructions say, however I can't get the bell-housing/engine supports bracket on the drivers side back into place. It seems that it doesn't clear the...

    Dougs header question

I've been searching these header threads for 3.5 hours now, and this subject gets off topic sooo fast it's rediculous. Just when I think I'm going to find my answer....blamm...someone hijacks and off they go!! Here's the question, and forgive me if whomever is reading this knows exactly where...

    King Richard accepts the challenge....

I'd expect something like that from Chad and his "Johnsons"..... I agree 100% regarding the whole Danica thing...no one does less with more...but lets leave the Tony bashing out of it. Y'all gotta know that he didn't put her in a car because she would be competitive, he put her in there for...

    '71 Swinger

This is my "new" 1971 Swinger. It currently has 89,000 original miles on it. Other than some minor interior work, a new vinyl top, and a couple small dents on the body, she's ready to roll!!! No plans for any radical changes right now, just cruise and have fun...

Post your wheel and tire combos.

    Front: 205/60 R15 on 15" x 7" steelies 4" BS Rear: 235/60 R15 on 15" x 8" steelies 4" BS I have 1/4" between the fender lip and the sidewall on the rears...anything wider than 235 probably wouldn't fit I'm guessing

    New 71 Dart owner

Thanks for all the welcomes everybody. Although only an A-Body owner for about three weeks, it seems like a decade with all the research for correct parts and what not. Jeez, I haven't studied this hard since college!! Love every minute of it though. What a great what to spend one's time...IMHO...

A Body Disc Brake Swap 101

So I'm a little confused and I apologize in advance for my lack of experience on this subject. I completely understand the various ways to convert drum-to-disc,parts that will work and won't work, etc, but what if someone is converting SBP drum to LBP disc in the front...what happens with the...

    Which way to go?

I'm decent mechanically, but I don't have the tools to bend and weld pipe. I was just thinking that it would be easier to assemble a kit, but I'm skeptical about how durable it would be without even a tack weld anywhere. Appreciate the input!

    Which way to go?

That's kinda what I'm afraid of...the do-it-yourself kit being junk. Maybe I'll hit up my local muffler shop and get a quote before I break out the credit card and start ordering stuff that may be low grade. Thanks for your input superchargeddrt!

    Which way to go?

I'm begining my '71 Swinger 318 column/auto project and I've been doing some research on available exhaust options, and I'm just wondering if anybody's had any experience or insight into the Pypes complete exhaust kits. They're claiming that the system runs from the collector back, but I'm...

    New 71 Dart owner

Thanks. It's good to be here. Yea, I think I got pretty lucky. It's a 2 owner, and the last guy had it since '77. It was decribed in the ad as "Grandpa's Car"...

    New 71 Dart owner

Thanks. The bumper sticker says "I ski Loveland". I believe it to be a ski resort in Colorado somewhere. I'd only had the car home for a few hours when I took the pics. I hadn't even washed the windows or vac'd the dried leaves off the floor mats...next mod...take all the 80's bumber stickers off!
