How do you remove the dipstick tube from the block without breaking it?:???:

I don't .,but i think there may be one in this rebuilt engine that I bought. It came out of a truck, and it had a 7qt oil pan on it..It wouldn't fit in my car, so I put a 5qt.pan on it and I was just wanting to know.

if you use a high volume oil pump in a 5qt. pan will it pump it dry or will it be ok.? Thanks, Double Six:???:

It originally came with a 273 commando,but since then, it has had a 318 and no problem till today. I just wanted to know if that old 69 oil pan would work ok on that 79 engine with out any problems.

Well to start things off, we had purchased a newly rebuilt 318 from a friend and tried putting it in the 67 Barracuda that I'm helping my son get up and going again, today, but it didn't go so well . We had it almost in, but the oil pan would not, and was not, going to clear the steering...

One is at tail of trans about 1 1/2 in. diameter. The other is right beside shift lever, it has threads and is smaller.about an inch in diameter.
