    Winding sound.

It happens when when I'm on the throttle. Sometimes at certain speeds it sounds like a chatter. When I let off the throttle it stops. When I'm slowing down or coming to a stop it sounds like it is unwinding. I was told today that I may not have thick enough gear oil. I used .75 of a bottle of...

    8.75 Rear End Setting

The whole rear end was purchased as set from Doctor Diff. The only thing I didn't buy from him was the 3rd member. I bought it out of Reno. Not sure what bearings are in there. I know that the axels have green bearings on them.

    8.75 Rear End Setting

Today I installed my 8.75 rear end into my Duster. After all said and done I noticed that the passenger side tire sticks out about a .5 inch more than the driver side. Is this normal? Did I do something wrong? If you ever need Mopar rear end parts Cass at doctordiff.com is the one to...

    8.75 A Body Rear End

Sorry, my third member has already been rebuilt with sure grip and 391 gears in a 489 case. Not sure what type of bearings were used for that. I'll look into both types of bearings for the axels. Thank you for the information Fishy68.

    8.75 A Body Rear End

I'm putting together an 8.75 rear end for my 1970 Duster. It came with backing plates, axels, but no perches. I obviously have to make sure that the axels are still straight and useable, also I know I have to replace all the bearings. What I'm not sure of is what kind of bearings to buy. Are...

    Priming my 360

I was able to drill a small hole at the end. It seems to be working fine. I was FINALLY able to fire it up, break it in on Friday. Had it on the road Sunday evening after a shifter cable replacement from the headers melting it, and a new kick down cable. Can't wait for new wheels, tires, and...

    Priming my 360

Put in my newly machined 1975 LA 360 that is now .30 over. Put new aluminum Elderbrock heads with roller rockers. The wholes on the rocker arm shaftss are pointing down like I was told they needed to be. Went to prime the motor and only the driver side pushed oil through. All of the plugs are in...
