    Roanoke Virginia Dodge Dealer

I am looking on getting one of those reproduction window stickers for my 69 Dart so I am looking for any Dodge dealer name from Roanoke, Virginia that would have been around in 1969. The car was purchased new in Roanoke, Virginia. Thanks in advance.

    340 Lost in Roanoke, VA

In the GTS registry there are about 600 cars over the three year period but that includes hardtops also. There are only 3 hemi orange GTS cars listed in the registry. Could be because it was a 1969 spring color or not a popular choice. There were only 214 convertibles built with the 340/auto...

    340 Lost in Roanoke, VA

Lol I know the car isn't stolen but I still don't feel comfortable about putting it out there. I have most of the documentation even the build sheet. Even have a letter in there from Galen Govier stating how rare this particular GTS convertible is but thats another story. I think I will keep...

    340 Lost in Roanoke, VA

Looking to find the engine/ trans out of my 69 Hemi Orange GTS convertible. Here is what I haved pieced together from the previous owners. The car was bought new in Roanoke and had a few owners through the 70's. Sometime in the late 70's or mid 80's, someone pulled out the very low mileage 340...

    Size does matter

All good advice, I did manage to mount a G70/14 bias ply on a rim and put it on the front. Looks very large in the wheel wheel with only about an inch away or so from the front fender edge. Now for the turn test.......

    Size does matter

Whats the tallest bias ply tire someone has put on a stock 69 Dart and still be drive able without rubbing or looking like a 4x4. The 69 lists the factory tire either as a D70-14 or E70-14. Someone has offered me a great deal on some G70-14 Firestone Redlines (Coker bias ply) Has anyone ever...

    1969 Dart GTS colors

Has anyone out there have access to production numbers for car colors on the 69 GTS? Mine is code V2 Hemi orange, someone told me it was a very low production color on the GTS and somewhat rarer on the GTS convertible. Any info would be appreciated.

    Painting a car question

After more than 30 years in the industry, I have rarely seen a vehicle that just needs a sanding and paint. Generally there is some form of repairs which are necessary before prepping. Most shops in my area start at about 30 hours for the most basic prep and then another 10 hrs or so for just...

Oil type for brand new built 383? Sythetic??

I use Amsoil 20-50 high zinc oil in both the street rod and the Mopar. It's developed for classic vehicles. No fuss of putting in the zinc additives in your regular oil.

(Body guys) Painting interior metal trim 67-71

Hi, just my 2 bits worth....I am a tech rep for a paint manufacturer. Basecoat with a clear coat is the way to go. Depending which part of the states you live in products vary due to voc regulations. Basecoat sometimes uses a polyester material and then is top coated with a urathane clear coat...

Just got the plates and doing some pre-drive stuff. I like to do the oil, plugs and fluids change thing just so I know it's current. Got the Amsoil oil with zinc so should be good to go. Did just notice that my left taillight and signal isn't consistently working. Seems about a few or 3 decades...

How true, luck played a large part in this. I had placed adds on Kijiji with little success. Then to find it less than 5 blocks from my house. I am extremely happy.

The guy who had it had bought it from out east years back. The car was originally from Virginia. My good friend had a neighbor who had just moved in who asked him about what he thought was the best way to sell an old car he had. My friend called me immediately and the deal was made.

Hi all After being involved with street rods for the last 30 years, it was due time to get back into my real passion....old Mopars. I always had soft spot for Darts after having a 67 GT and then a 69 Swinger 340. My goal was to have a 68 GTS to complete the package. As it turns out fate put me...
