    I installed the msd ready to run unit and it solved many issues, then the car developed a pretty gnarly misfire. The distributor smushes the plug wire right up to the wiper motor mounting plate area. Before I just hack the part-that-rubs off completely, I figure I’d ask what you all have done...

    The OD of the slip yoke is 1.75in, I got that from measuring the circumference with a string then dividing by pi so that’s probably +/- 1/8th inch. Yes it is a 340.
