I did, but I had a cracked exhaust manifold and I didn't want to drive it too much, but It shifted into second fine when I went around the block. It does seem to be leaking somewhere near the front however.

Put some vice grips on it and it was a lot easier actually, I think it was just a grip problem.

How freely should I be able to turn the input shaft by hand with the pump housing on? It's pretty tough to turn but it seems to be even all around.

Do I need to or should I run a filter screen?

I just took apart the governor and there's was no filter screen inside of it, is it normal to run without one? There was also no sealing rings unless my book is refering to the ones on the governor support, should I have any within the governor? Don't think so.

I'm assembling my transmission and have a question about how many thrust washers I'm supposed to have between the input and output shaft, the book makes it sound like 2 but I only found one when dissasembling. Thanks for the help

I was fixing all the rat chewed wires on my 318 dart to see if the engine would run and was wondering what this little cylinder was next to the coil. It seemed to be wired to the coil at one point. I thought it was the condenser but that's in the distributor. Any ideas what it is? It also...

Already half way there, about to remove the valve body, I can't seem to find the E clip though. Is there different mechanisms that don't have it that way?

I was hoping I was just gonna replace this and pretend everything was fine and not have to do a full rebuild, hope it doesn't come down to that
