    Bucket seat tracks

Attached is a photo of what I have. You can see my car is a permanent vert atm as the top and rear window are rotted out. My frame is in good shape. I figure it wouldn't be too hard to build in the adjustments needed on non-headrest bucket seat back frames for headrests, a few internal frame...

    Bucket seat tracks

Similar deal with me but most of the missing parts are attainable and interchangeable with Chrysler Australia models of the same era and of course eBay, Classic, RockAuto, YearOne Legendary etc etc. Tell you what though, finding these missing buckets and tracks is HARD but I have time as it's...

    Bucket seat tracks

Hi everyone I'm looking for bucket seats for my '69 Dart as it came without. A pair of what are claimed to be '68 Barracuda buckets have come up locally minus the tracks; and are factory hemi fixed brackets which I'm not interested in long term. I've read alot about the inter-compatibility of...

[WANTED] 1969 Dart Bucket Seats Plus Tracks

@Surprise67GT I will do some research yes. Sounds promising. Could I bother you please to grab the front to back floor pan attachment bolt distance and across the diagonal measure too plus any pics would be great ?

[WANTED] 1969 Dart Bucket Seats Plus Tracks

Hi everyone I'm beginning the hunt for a pair of bucket seats for my LP27. They were very kindly removed before I bought the car. Given the scarcity of these things I'm willing to consider pretty much any condition and if not from a '69 then any '67/68 or whatever compatible track and internal...

Slant block to 904 bell-housing bolt specification

Yep, bang on. You're correct as I was fast typing before getting on with today's work. Sorry for my error.

Slant block to 904 bell-housing bolt specification

So, the 3/8 UNC spec threads in nicely now with a bit more torque than my hand :) and some WD40. Weird though as all my research has come up with a 7/16 UNC for that hole and my 7/16 shank does not even bite the threads. Oh well, you live and learn.

Slant block to 904 bell-housing bolt specification

I did slot a 3/8 UNC in there just to see and will try again with light tooling as only used my hand before. Def grade 8 7/16" x 14 TPI UNC Coarse Zinc Hex Bolts Part Thread High Tensile Grade 8 AS 2465. Looking around the web tells me the spec should be 7/16 but will fiddle around again.

Slant block to 904 bell-housing bolt specification

Hi everyone I'll keep this short and sweet. Is the bolt circled a (2" under head shaft length) 7/16"-14 TPI UNC 7/16"-14 TPI UNF 3/8" -16 TPI UNC 3/8" -16 TPI UNF Asking because circled bolt I have (7/16"-14 TPI UNC) won't go into the bell-housing. Screwdriver pokes right into bell-housing...

    A01 light package

Hey @6pk2goDemon this is great thank you. I was wondering why my '69 Dart Conv had no trunk light, glove box light, headlight on warning buzzer etc. I suspected the A01 light package (or lack of one) and this confirms my suspicion. Was having a hard time working it out from the wiring diagram...

Slant 6 225 1-barrel throttle and kickdown springs

Yes, it's really strange that I (and others) have not been able to successfully find this information about the springs or OE repops for the /6, but there are plenty of sources for any V8 block. Anyway, I'm happy to go off and source my own make do springs as this method seems to be my only...

Slant 6 225 1-barrel throttle and kickdown springs

Hi everyone 225 Holley 1920 1-barrel carb. What's the deal with these springs ? I need both circled in blue below (both are missing) but I can't find any info on specs or actually anyone selling them (Mancini/ebay etc) - no-one seems to care about the /6 when it comes to return springs. So...

    Throttle return and kickdown springs

Thanks for the replies here. I imagine there was/is a spec for these springs (wire gauge, number of loops, spring length etc) but I cannot find one anywhere so can only imagine it's not a big deal as long as the tension is not stupid enough to but strain on any pivots. My 1920 must be a '74 or...

1969 Dart power steering valve assembly

Yeah man. Am looking forward to ripping into some teardown proper. Removing fenders and rocker arm covers doesn't really do it. Good to know about no flying components. I've had that before where two sprung loaded components go in different directions and it's anyone's guess how to replace them...

1969 Dart power steering valve assembly

I think I'll be tearing the engine bay down once I coral the bits I'm missing. I found the cook book steps in the FSM and yes it reads straight forward until you open something up and springs fly everywhere. I've hunted around the web and the valve assembly does look the same on both platforms...

1969 Dart power steering valve assembly

The FSM means more to me than my family if this is permitted. Seriously though (and I love my family btw), it's more useful than any other tool I have in the garage. I'm keen to retain my PS box as is and simply need to bolt the valve assembly on assuming there are zero differences in the valve...

    Ignition system, battery to starter/solenoid

Yes I want to but I can't get to the damn thing. The exhaust is the main culprit but then there's the tranny cooler lines, NSS cable, speedo cable etc plus the bolt head faces rear so it's tough just to get a socket extension down there. Figure I might just drop the prop shaft or lift the rear...

1969 Dart power steering valve assembly

Hi everyone Pretty sure I've not posted to this forum before. An easy question hopefully. Car: 1969 Dart Conv 225 /6 auto So, I need to replace a few missing parts to get the car to at least a running and driving type of state. I'm at the PS core now and am missing the valve assembly which...

    Ignition system, battery to starter/solenoid

I've now read this explanation over a number of times and my understanding has vastly improved. I'm not going to attempt to hack the circuits to get the engine to fire and am going to order the starter relay, battery +ve cables, starter relay to solenoid cable and likely replacement ground...

    Ignition system, battery to starter/solenoid

Wow, thanks @67Dart273 for this explanation. I have the FSM only to go on atm and am learning how the circuits actually work so a real life explanation such as this will go a long way to me and I'm sure others understanding. I'm in no rush to break or kill any components of course and will be...

    Ignition system, battery to starter/solenoid

Hi everyone 1969 Dart, 225 /6, 904 trans, no starter relay or battery +ve cable. So, I'm getting close (or thought I was) to lighting up my /6 and realised that I actually do need the starter relay to tie the driver side system parts as I reference them (battery, starter relay...

    AMD discontinuing Dart panels ???

Hi Fabo I've got a guy on my local Facebook marketplace off loading a heap of a/b-body quarter panels. I have expressed interest and he tells me AMD are discontinuing the Dart quarter panel production line. Says they have been popular and he has one set left (aren't I the lucky one). Anyway, I...
