    67-69 Ralleye Temperature Gauge

A new gas gauge / IVR has been installed. Thought the thermostat may be stuck as well so I did replace with the same one(160F/71C Thermostat). Upper & lower rad hoses have equal heat and it does pump out warm air. I have taken the dash out several times so I consider an expert in this area...I...

    67-69 Ralleye Temperature Gauge

Yes this is a new engine rebuild, 3 or 4 core rad upgrade with no electrical fans. Not overly concerned about the car overheating just annoying not knowing the normal operating temperature. Both upper and lower rad hoses are of equal temperature and the heater blows put warm air. I've even tried...

    67-69 Ralleye Temperature Gauge

There was a break in the wire so I decided to cut it, directly place the wire end on the temperature sending unit and no change in the temperature reading.

    67-69 Ralleye Temperature Gauge

Sorry Ben to bring you out of retirement and that you have answered this question many times before. As mentioned there is a new IVR gas guage, temperature sending unit and a 160F/71C Thermostat. I did however replace the electrical end piece on the temp sending unit with one that attaches to...

    67-69 Ralleye Temperature Gauge

Temperature gauge won't go past the first mark when at normal operating temperature. Replaced with new IVR, temperature sending unit, thermostat and when grounded pegs all the way to the far right. Not sure if there is additional testing or is the gauge shot?

Engine konked out and wouldnt' start

Fixed the wiring issue! When the car was tuned the mechanic by-passed the Ballast and used a poor connector. Took it apart, used some shrink tubing and encased it in a plastic tube. The only thing I have to figure out is how to fix the temperature gauge as it was working. Will be doing some...

Engine konked out and wouldnt' start

I'm runnining an electronic MSD distributor so the ballast is disconnected I think 4spddragtop might be correct on the ignition switch itself. There is a lot of play in the ignition once the key is in. I will try giggling it around see if that is the problem and continue with other wires. As...

Engine konked out and wouldnt' start

Cruising in the 67' Barracuda...pulled into my buddies driveway and died? Would only keep running if I had the key engaged for awhile, which is not good for the starter. Waited for a couple of minutes and would started right away and drive. Ignition relay switch? Thanks in advance.

    7 1/4" with 904 Trans - Gears/Converter??

Most of my driving is street cruising 30-40mph at 1500/1800 rpm and maybe 1 to 2 hours on the Freeway and 60 to 70mph is plenty of speed without being annoying. I will try this fix and see if I need a stall converter afterwards? Thanks for your input!

    1967-1969 Barracuda Trunk Weatherstripping

Hi Rocky last question, does the flat piece(red arrow)abut to the lip of the trunk. It appears to be offset to the right of the trunk latch bolt as 1969383S indicated. Thanks for all your help!

    1967-1969 Barracuda Trunk Weatherstripping

Thanks Rocky the pics would be great as I suspect I have been given a possible Dart seal? I was just going to install and that would have been a pain to take off. There are many seals on the market and this one looks like the one you have mentioned?

Intsrument Gauges do not like cold weather??

Yup.....more searching and from A-Bodies help indicates IVR which is built into the gas gauge on ralleye dashes on the 67-69 Barracuda. So next question....can you buy a new assembly or send it out to get rebuilt?

Intsrument Gauges do not like cold weather??

As per(http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/techarticles/interior/23241_instrument_gauges_repair/viewall.html#ixzz2mkIu5Rwz) If all three gauges simultaneously jump to full/high for a few seconds and then settle back to their original readings, the problem is probably the Instrument Voltage...

Intsrument Gauges do not like cold weather??

I like this weather but maybe my Barracuda is a warm blooded fish? The cluster was taken fully apart in the Summer with new fuses and grounded to the dash frame. The voltage regulator maybe the problem of some of you have indicated. Thanks!

Intsrument Gauges do not like cold weather??

Nice sunny day to take the Barracuda for a spin, the garage temperature is 9C / 48F and outside temperature is -5C / 23F. The temperature and oil gauge goes off to the far right while the gas gauge does not make it past the E. Drove the car for an hour and everything but the gas gauge works...
