    well i found out that the reason it wasnt starting with the ignition switch is because i didnt have the park/neutral switch hooked up. also, any batteries i try to use act like they are almost dead....the motor will turn over and then start slowing down and eventually stop turning all...

    thats what the instructions said, but i cant test them yet as the wiring isnt completely put together

    so i installed a mopar performance electronic distributor (i think thats what it is anyways) and while i was hooking up the wiring the instructions said to splice one of the wires into the positive side of the resistor. anyone know which wire thats supposed to be? thanks

    does anyone know if this alternator will work on my 68 valiant? it has 2 spade terminals on the back and my wiring harness on has 1. if it will work, any idea which terminal i use? thanks for any help (sorry the pic is kinda blurry)

    i did see the flat spot on the ring terminal so now i atleast know that is where it goes to..... i will check on the brown/yellow wire tomorrow morning to see where it comes from

    it is for the 68 valiant..... from what i was guessing, the dark blue would of been the coil since it has a ring terminal, but it is up front by where the /6 coil would of been.. light grey wire has a female spade on it the lavender wire up front had a 90 degreen rubber connector on it...

    so i just put a 360 in my car and im using the old slant 6 engine harness. the slant 6 wasnt in the car when i got it... i have a few wires that are unaccounted for: positive wire to the coil oil sending unit wire and coolant temp sensor wire wires that are just hanging around: brown/yellow...

    i know this is a dumb question, but..... my valiant was originally a slant 6 but now im dropping in a 360. can i happen to use the slant 6 engine harness or do i need a new harness for the v8?
