I'm getting ready to have my 71 Scamp painted. I've always liked the Bumble Bee Stripe on the Dart. What do you think about the Bumble Bee Stripe on a Scamp? I think I'm going to go for it. I just wanted to hear some opinions.

Everytime I look at my Scamp my eyes are drawn to this missing fin. I can't walk around the front without staring at that missing fin! F%*K, It's so annoying! Has anyone tried to make a new fin? Can it be done? Or do I have to start looking for a new grille so I can enjoy looking at my Scamp again?

The pics I've seen on eBay of the Antique Green tops look a few shades lighter. Is that what looks strange to you? Or is it the black in the grooves?

I took Adam's advice and got a sample from Legendary. The vinyl looks to be the same color but there is black in the grooves. I like it. I wonder if my top originally had black in the boars grain grooves. It might have just faded over the years. Here's a scan of the sample they sent...

I had a gold 73 Scamp a few years back. It looked rad! Stick with the original. I changed the color of a car once and it turned out to be a huge mistake.

I just need the bottom trim piece. The gasket is in good shape. I'll clean that up no problem. I'm hoping that it's not going to need any sheet metal work but I'll know for sure as soon as I pull the windshield. Any ideas on where to get some vinyl for the top?
