    Any benefit to 10” wheel?

Pic for reference. 275/60-15 on 15 x 10 w/5.5” backspace. I do have the springs moved in to the frame rails. Ultimately giving a wider footprint than an 8” rim, exactly how much, I do not know. Good luck with your build! Share some pics.

    Enclosed trailer purchase!

Thanks for the diamond plate trick, I already have 4 pieces to put down after I paint the floor. My trailer with the options I got is $13,500. My neighbor has the same trailer minus the cabinet, wired for 110 and aluminum wheels was $8,000 in 2014. Elkhart Indiana has to be the trailer...

    Enclosed trailer purchase!

My wife and I are celebrating the arrival of our new family member! Drove to Elkhart Indiana to the Discovery factory yesterday and picked up our new trailer! Pretty much hassle free, gave them the balance in a cashiers check, a guy drove around with a fork truck and put it right on my hitch...

    Enclosed trailer purchase!

Thanks guys! At the most I’ll get a small 4 wheeler and I’ll bring my Generator - tool box and a couple of bins of spare parts. I called and am having the upper cabinet added, that’ll help make some room on the floor. I’ll end up building a bench with possibly a a chest of drawers and make...

    Enclosed trailer purchase!

Thanks so much! I’ve learned Haulmark and Pace aren’t the quality they once were. I’m pretty much going off of others experience when I made my choice. Aluminum was a bit out of my $$ range, fortunately I won’t be pulling it in the snow, so I won’t need to worry about salt on the roads. I...

Last trip to track - Nope! Coil went bad!?

Hey all! Was going to make a last trip to the track and brave the 45-50 degree temps last weekend. Fired up the Demon, took it for a ride, gave it a good checking over and parked it Friday night. Went to fire it up and put it on the trailer Saturday - cranked it…….no fire. Did it a few...

Im roasting in my car, ideas to cool it down.

I used the dynamat, it honestly helps with noise dampening more than insulating from what I can feel, although the car is black with a black interior…..and I’m a little on the husky side so I sweat when it’s 60 degrees and cloudy.

    Enclosed Trailer Questions

I’m thinking of going to the dealership nearby that sells Discovery trailers exclusively. It seems they have a 24’ with 5200# axles, basic interior and screwless for $13,700. Exact trailer in Elkhart IN w/semi screwless is $10,900. I’m 99.9% sure they’re apples to apples. The search continues……

I can finally post here! I’ve owned my Demon since I was 15 years old (54 now) Bracket raced it quite a bit back in the 80’s to the early 90’s with a low compression 360 and a .484 purple shaft cam to consistent 12.30’s - 12.40’s The car became an afterthought when family needs to come...

Testing the waters with the experts..... Seeing a lot of cool rides and getting ideas. I'm running S/S Springs w/1" lowering block. Keeping the front (kinda) low for stored energy on launch. Thanks for the pics and ideas on all of them so far!

    Electrical Gremlins......Conundrum

67Dart273, thank you for your patience and help…..if you were within reach you’d smack me! And I would damn well deserve it. After checking, double checking and taking off the starter to inspect the connections, I realized I ran the small wire from the starter to the stud instead of the square...

    Electrical Gremlins......Conundrum

Does the relay itself need to be grounded good? I put it on the metal plate under the dash, but mounted the metal plate with rubber bushings behind it thus definitely not making a good ground.

    Electrical Gremlins......Conundrum

Took off that one, when power is turned on, starter cranks. I was sure hoping to not have to take the damn starter off again. I made new cables and was extra careful to crimp them well and put shrink tube over the ends.

    Electrical Gremlins......Conundrum

unplugged the yellow push on connector from the angled connection, starter still turned over as soon as power is turned on.

    Electrical Gremlins......Conundrum

The yellow wire coming out of the factory bulkhead harness I routed under the dash, had to splice a longer wire (red) and ran it to the angled blade on relay. the connector that goes to the neutral safety switch I connected to a temporary ground. The blue wire with the fusible link is also...

    Electrical Gremlins......Conundrum

Ran + battery wire to bulkhead connector at the firewall. From there, 2 gauge wire directly to big post on starter. From small stud on starter, wire run through firewall directly to square stud on relay. I was very careful making these wires, good ends with shrink tubing over the ends, then...

About to pull my hair out with electrical issues.....Maybe it's just me, It's my least favorite or skilled thing to do. I have Stock wiring harnesses in the car, the Under dash one is original. Small block valve cover clearance??

I'm definitely instilling that in any of the young people I know.... Since the car will have plenty of aftermarket parts made in China, I thought I'd show off the pride they put in to their American made product. The quality shows for sure.
