    My 64 Dart Project

I am about to finish disassembly of my dart for paint and I wanted to take the time off to focus on my brakes. I am wanting to switch over to a disc brake set up on the front and back, but I don't feel like buying conversion kit on ebay or anywhere else that uses parts from who knows. I wanted...

68 Galaxie Fastback getting a Cummins transplant

I purchased 2 motors for this car and I had somebody offer me more than twice what I gave for them, so naturally I sold them. I am taking this as a sign to just sell the car off so that is what I am doing. I hate to just abandon a project but my 64 Dart is getting a little neglected.

68 Galaxie Fastback getting a Cummins transplant

I got the engine and trans pulled and ready to go today. I also noticed that I will have to get the frame repaired and reinforced. The last owner didn't box the frame for some reason and now it is twisted and cracking.

    A little advice please

Width and height are good but I may have to alter the fire wall to fit for length. Also thank you for the heads up on the frame rail issue. I will be inspecting that first thing in the mourning.

It is the 385 series 429. I was told it was a 427 but when they said it came out of a 73 Mercury I knew something was a miss so I cross referenced the Weiand intake to find out the correct engine size. Either way it is going bye bye.

I am waiting for the mounting bracket to come back from the chrome shop. As far as finding these GM had a deal with marvel for a while to put them on the Cadillac in the 50's I think. Over in the U.K. they put these on the Judson Supercharger for VW Beetles. Depending on the glass size and shape...
