    Tapper to roller cam conversion

I sent that picture of the first cam gear I posted to a cam company, and they replied back today and said “It looks like it’s not centered on the cam”. How in the heck do you center the bronze gear on a cam?

Slow Crank, No Start When Warm

I would've checked all connections first. I didn't read every post on this matter. If the OP just started having this problem then I rule out the cables being to small as the problem would've been reoccurring. Just from what I have read I'm thinking that possibly the starter is going bad. Also...

Is my ring gap too large?

It sounds about right. A little wider is better than too tight. IMO

Registered as a 1914 Ford. Guy and his wife, in their 70's drove it 9 miles to the cruise night. The thing has cable brakes, from the pedal to the brakes shoes.

    Enlarging PRP doesn't always help

In the end of the day your getting 308 cfm with a 2.02 valve, your doing pretty good, doubt many would be unhappy with those results. Do you plan on playing around with with larger valves at some point ?

    Clutch Linkage Problem

SN: my 72’ 340/4 speed Demon and Doug’s and tti exhaust. Lately my clutch pedal is releasing but will “snap back” the last 1” after a quick rap of the throttle or I lift it back with my foot. Engine shifted a bit to one side due to motor mount. I loosened up the mounts, shifted the engine...

Slow Crank, No Start When Warm

By the way with that much drop, I'd start by feeling around the cable connections for "warm." Could even just be a dirty battery clamp at the posts

FAIL right out of the package.

That’s too bad. A shame actually. Recently I switched from HEI back to FBO box and coil/ distributor. HEI have been failing- I went thru 3 in 2 weeks. Double checked all my voltages, grounds, grease and heat sink. All was good. Even the pick up module in the distributor. SN: 3 named brands all...

Slow Crank, No Start When Warm

You have to check and find out!!! Voltage drop is just like a diagram---follows a road, follows a road map. If you hit a chuckhole (bad connection at a terminal) that is a drop right at the terminal. If you hit a narrow road (long length of wire) that is drop over a distance/ length of...

    Guns, Dogs and Blades QnA

I've got three going on at once. I work on guns like I do my cars, can't just do one at a time. Lol. I have that one. Take the vent tube off and snake it out. Not as hard as it looks. That other tube is the hang up. SN: keep that tank. It’s only bad on the top. I’m sure it will sell. lol!

A833 Transmission leaking at reverse light switch

Yes this is very common and every new one I ever bought from the dealer also leaked there. Here is the cure; you will need a spraycan of Brakleen, a package of two-part epoxy( JB-Weld is ok ) compressed air, and a bench vise. 1) clean the outside 2) clamp the switch in in a vise, contacts down...

    Enlarging PRP doesn't always help

Since I hadn’t ever gone about it in the order you did, I wasn’t really qualified to say you were going about it the “wrong” way. As for the 50* testing……. That SM head probably still has a few untouched chambers to experiment on……. Without going “all in” to .090” deep in one shot.
