    Throttle cable and braket options.

Got bored and swapped out the 850 vec sec to this old school dominator I had sitting around. The fresh motor loves it. :) Now just figuring out if I need to: 1. Longer throttle cable and the mancini xtra tall bracket and return springs or 2. One of those universal all in 1 that bolts to the...

Thanks mate, If you could pm me a price on the kit including a shipping cost to Adelaide, south Australia 5013, that would be great. I think I'll just get one of your kits, just in case.. :)

    Wtf - roller rocker

Hi guys, I'm using 383 closed chamber heads. The motor is a fresh build. Icon pistons, H beam rods, coyles timing chain kit etc. The heads were all built for that cam. New springs retainers, locks, valves etc all new. It took me a couple of weeks and some machining to get the rockers...

    Wtf - roller rocker

Hi guys, Yep, sorry was a typo. As suggested above. Heads and bottom end ran fine with a hydraulic setup. The heads have been rebuilt by a shop with new everything to suit the cam. I have 5/16 pushrods and I have 2 threads showing under the rocker on the adjuster screw.

    Wtf - roller rocker

Hi there, I spent a fair bit of time getting these to fit correctly. At first, they sounded a little noisy, kinda like an overgrown sewing machine. Readjusted and not as bad. Gave it a good test out, you know 5500 rpm gear changes etc and that's when the #8 intake pushrod jumped out and...

    Wtf - roller rocker

This is the second time a pushrod has come out and also pushed the lifter out of its bore. Lunati solid cam and lifters. Pwr 1.6 rockers. ( yes I know, that's all I can afford) I've done the lash a few times now at 0.14" as suggested on the lunati cam card. Shouldn't try 0.10"? Only does...

    440/4 speed install, which method?

Hey question: probably a dumb one. Number 1 piston ATDC on compression stroke and the rotor points to just before the number 1 lead on the dizzy cap. See pic. And my pointer. Should I move my leads so number 1 was where number 2 was or to where number 8 is or just leave it there and play with...

And that coil has to be moved. It looks ****.

    440/4 speed install, which method?

After the cams run in, I plan to make some decent msd leads to size, do something with the engine bay wiring and modify and wrap my headers. I'm getting there slowly....

    440/4 speed install, which method?

No I didn't dial the bellhousing. Even though I know I should have. I'm using exactly the same setup as last time. Crank bearings even the same size. It wasn't super tight, and I only had to pull it in maybe a few mm with the bolts. Turned out to be one of the dowls had an edge on it...

    440/4 speed install, which method?

It's confirmed, the starter **** itself. What do you guys suggest for 440/4 speed mini starter. I'd like one that doesn't have the connections close to the engine block if there is such a thing.

    440/4 speed install, which method?

I'll be getting one of those for sure. :) Got a new battery today. Fingers crossed and turned the key. Click click click. Nothing. :( gonna pull the starter and bench test it. If it's not the starter or connections, I hate to think what else it might be. I used a pry bar to turn the...

    440/4 speed install, which method?

Attempt 1: Well guys I worked on the Cuda over the weekend. Since the trans was already sitting in position I tried installing the engine in from the top. I got it real close, about 1/2 " between bellowing and H lock but couldn't line the shaft up so it would slide in place. Attempt 2: Pulled...

    Will 402 pan fit?

Tried a milodon windage tray on my 893 pan and it's nowhere near a decent fit. I have a 402 pan and the tray fits fine on that. Will 402 pan clear factory big block A body k frame and steering etc.??

    440/4 speed install, which method?

Thanks guys. Unfortunately I don't have access to a hoist and I am restricted with height in my shed. I do have a decent engine crane and load leveller, so I'm thinking I'll put the rear up on ramps to give it some rake and some clearance for the trans, hood off, steering column out, bolt...

    440/4 speed install, which method?

My 67 barracuda has had its engine out, for what feels like forever, and I'm almost at the stage to put it back in. When I pulled it, I left the 4 speed in place.( with the fork left in there) What's the best method for a reinstall. 1. Lower engine back in and stuff around lining the clutch...

Looking at getting a windage tray. Has anyone used one of these? To be used under my 893 pan.

    1.5 or 1.6 roller rockers.

Oh man, I need to sit back and think about this for a bit. Move forward and make this crap fit and hope it doesn't munch itself or throw my hydraulic cam back in and feel comfortable with original parts.... Thanks guys for all your input and advice.

    1.5 or 1.6 roller rockers.

Found B3 profile on here, but his inbox is full. Interested in this geometry correction kit he mentioned in his article. Maybe this kit along with a slightly longer pushrod is what I need.

    1.5 or 1.6 roller rockers.

$1800 here for Harlan sharp or comp cams rockers. I just can't do it. Not at least for another 6 months anyway. Went through the cycle at the instructed 0.014 valve lash. This left me 6 threads below the rocker and 7 threads above the rocker (with the adjuster nut off) using a 9.250 pushrod...

    1.5 or 1.6 roller rockers.

Thanks for that. I checked out that B3 site, lots of info. My brain hurts. Lol I have have an adjustable pushrod and dial indicator, so I'm going to see what the travel is like. My heads were prepared by an engine shop so I'll go back and double check them.

I have. 0.022 clearance between rocker arm body and the retainer. Is this not enough?
