Removing spark plugs from a body

The fenderwell is integral part of structure, remove it and there is nothing to support sheetmetal, suspension, grill. Unless you have roll cage bar extended to front frame rail.

    Oil with ZDDP ?

I used Driven breakin oil for cam breakin. Hughes Engines recommended the Driven Hot Rod oil w zinc for regular use. I could not get any locally and had to order from Hughes, The shipping raised the price way up. Next time I will probably go with VR-1.

    jacking up front-end

That is good place to lift, but at track the car slipped from Jack pad. Think roller didn't move on pavement. Lucky it just put little dent in radiator but no leak. Andy has good idea to put ring or button for jack pad so can't slip.

WalMart used to sell a Whistler video diagnostic scope for $79 that had small scope lense that would fit thru plug hole. That at least would give you idea of cyl...

    Spool mount rubbers

I got a set of the poly inserts for my 74 Duster. They went into the spool ok, but they were real snug going into the frame ears. I would suggest test fitting the poly mount to ears before bolting to engine. I remember now that I had to trim a little poly from the inside face where it mated...

Went to the dyno this morning....

What is ignition timing settings at idle and at 2500 rpm. If too low will not have the power. Should be about 34 to 37 at 2500 rpm. The MSD dist should give a lot of adjustment.

    flat tappet vs roller

Even that junk going into a $5000 engine would ruin my day.
