yeah, them washers are on backwards. Probably the reason for the failure. It's pretty obvious that in that orientation the washer is just going to spread the bushing as force is applied. I actually went out and looked at mine:)

I would stay away from CAP based on the negative threads just posted here. Several members have had catastophic failures with CAP products. Best part is CAP never took responsibility for any of the failures. It's your life.........Do as you wish.

It doesn't take an alignment shop eval to see that. Those mounting hole are shot. The bolt that goes through has d flats for the eccentrics so they don't turn and once you loosen the bolt the eccentrics are supposed to move the upper control arm in or out against the flat that are flattened...

It shouldn't "slide" at all those holes should only be the same diameter as the bolt that goes through it.

actually it looks like the cam bolt is loose and has torn the mount it goes into. The hole for the eccentric bolt should only be the size of the bolt and the eccentric makes the changes needed by pushing on the tabs that were flattened. I think you should get that taken care of very quickly to...

Well, the pressure and return seemed like a logical explenation but, It is not going to work for me. The power steering pump has one hose coming out of it and that's it. I think all the work is done inside the power steering unit and the pump just suppies the fluid. So I am going to assume it is...

Thanks Redfish. It's been so long since I've had a car with power steering I forgot about the pressure and return side. I guess I need to clean a couple more inches of dirt and gunk out before the pressure line is exposed. Thanks alot.
